Anyone saw the movie The Hurt Locker? The film takes place during the Iraq War, and I heard that it was good.

It finally playing in one of the theaters I go to, and I'm praying that I will see it very soon.

I'd try buying a ticket instead of praying...

I've heard that it is about explosive ordinance disposal technicians. My brother, a Navy EOD tech, himself, has mentioned it to me a couple of times. Not playing anywhere in my area, though... I'd like to see it.

The Iraq War and Hollywood. That's usually not a good combination.

I finally saw The Hurt Locker over the weekend, and it was definitely worthy of all of the praise from the critics. This was an awesome film.

I enjoyed the performances in the movie, especially by Jeremy Renner as a bomb-defusing technician who goes against the book on getting things done, much to the dismay of his fellow team members. His character thrives on the adrenaline of his job and his confidence on his skills.

I also loved the documentary-style approach of the film as the way it was filmed that gives the audience a sense of being in the action.

Also, it was told from a volunteer-military point-of-view and doesn't have the preachy pro/anti-war messages.

This film have some tense scenes, especially in the scenes where a bomb have to be defused.

This is a worthy film that you have to see, especially to close out the summer.

On a scale of one to ten, I give it an eight.

ENJOY!!!!
