This bank teller chased a would be bank robber for blocks, tackled and held him until police arrived.

The bank fired him and police chided him because tellers aren't supposed to "do anything that would put them in jeopardy." The police didn't make a peep of mention about bravery or thank him for apprehending the criminal.

Doesn't a guy robbing the bank put them in jeopardy?

We are indeed a society of wimpdomhood.

The teller admits he knew he was violating policy when he was doing it.

I am sorry he knew he was throwing his job away, and I am glad he didn't forfeit his life along with it.

Sounds like he was in the wrong profession anyway. Police Departments are always looking for good cops who are willing to chase down badguys.......at least then he'd have a gun in case it went bad.
