I don't know why, but I'm getting the eery feeling that its going to happen soon.

I see how distracted we are over what Obama is doing to destroy this country that we are ignoring that there are a myriad of people that live to kill Americans. We know they are here in this country.

We are vulnerable in may ways right now, and I hope people are staying vigilant. I thank all you out there who's job it is to protect us and stay awake.

We're ripe for attack right now. The government is on the brink of financial collapse. California and New York are weakened by the recession. No one is minding the border, because everyone is focused on the drunken spending spree in washington and all the crap packed into 1200 page long convoluted bills.

I know it's a harsh reality, but someone needs to point it out.

I don't see the military being gutted. I see it being down shifted in Iraq and up shifted in Afghanistan where it should be. I'm not all that familiar with the other elements you mention. Sorry 86, I was directing my statement toward the poster who claimed Libs are striking terror in the hearts of millions.

Frankly, I told a few of my close friends in 2000 that I thought there'd be some game-changing event within 5 years, so I don't denigrate you or claim that you're wishing for this.

My belief, however, is that wishes like that do exist in the hearts of too many in this nation.

It's pretty sad that we went from a huge national sense of unity after 9/11, complete with Senators standing and singing the anthem together, to posts that Bush caused 9/11 or Obama will be responsible for the next foreign attack. We deserve to have a crumbling nation if we can't even stand united against hostile attackers.

No one wants another attack... But steps by this administration are making it more possible every day... By Isolating different agencies he has effectively kept them from putting the facts together for a reasonable person to determine what might be happening. It's the same thing Bill Clinton did for 8 years while dismantling everything Regan did to build it up and keep us safe.. Bush had to pull it together and now Obama is tearing it apart...

I really want to remind everyone there's still a threat and convey my concern over such a threat that still exists.

There's a lot of accusations of desire for a terror attack, some defense of the outrageous accusations, and very little actually discussion about the actual threat and possibility of a terror attack.

Yes, the subject as you describe it now is indeed serious. The title of your thread is what lead to it's own demise. Blame yourself!

It would be nice if, when the subject of terrorism comes from the lips of an other-than-liberal, charges of fear-mongering were left aside. I realize it's a tried and true tactic, so I am expecting a lot of liberals to treat the subject in an adult manner.

On a related note - my expectations were met, if not surpassed.
