The story of Michelle Kerr and her experience in the Stanford University teacher training program shows the extent to which leftists will not tolerate dissent from their philosophy of education. Miss Kerr fought for her rights and was awarded her degree but only after shining the ray of truth on the entire program.

One day she was reprimanded for mentioning her students -- anonymously -- and identifying herself as a Stanford student.

I wish that article had been more specific about what she was taught that she disagreed with. It mentioned one text, "Pedagogy of the Oppressed," (http://www.city-journal.org/2009/19_2_freirian-pedagogy.html) that is indeed a problem.
