Polyamory has a coming out party (http://www.newsweek.com/id/209164)

Terisa, Matt,Vera, Larry and Scott aren't polygamists. They're 'ethical non-monogamists'. Uggh.

Terisa, 41, is at the center of this particular polyamorous cluster. A filmmaker and actress, she is well-spoken, slender and attractive, with dark, shoulder-length hair, porcelain skin—and a powerful need for attention. Twelve years ago, she started datingScott, a writer and classical-album merchant. A couple years later, Scott introduced her to Larry, a software developer at Microsoft, and the two quickly fell in love, with Scott's assent. The three have been living together for a decade now, but continue to date others casually on the side. Recently, Terisa decided to add Matt, a London transplant to Seattle, to the mix. Matt's wife, Vera, was OK with that; soon, she was dating Terisa's husband, Larry. If Scott starts feeling neglected, he can call the woman he's been dating casually on the side. Everyone in this group is heterosexual, and they insist they never sleep with more than one person at a time.

Morality. It's just so old fashioned! No doubt we'll soon be hearing about how these pervs are denied their rights. And in schools the kids will be be taught 'Bobby has two Mommies, Three Daddies, and a dog for an uncle'.

Seems they were predicting the end of monogamy and traditional marriage back in the 60s and 70s. Didn't happen and marriage (traditional) is still alive and well (for the most part) in 21st century America.

Promiscuity is promiscuity.

Not judging, just observing.

BUT if it were made legal, would it be promiscuity?

Um, polygamy is old fashion.

Exactly.

Let's look in our Bible for glowing support of polygamy, shall we.

O.k....trying to wrap my head around the story. I watched the short clip..and found myself questioning how in the hell this type of arrangement would even work...for any length of time. It smells to me...I think its bull pucky...stacked high and ready to fall over!

The woman that is the main person in the story is a writer for a series that is about polyamourous society. Hmmmm...feels contrived to me. Like an agenda is pushing or forcing the current lifestyle choice. Even the couples interviewed appeared more like coached actors then real people..know what I mean?

Not to mention the whole plausibility of it all..I can't see four guys and two girls living in this arrangement for long. It may sound chauvinistic..but that scenario in reverse is a much more likely case then they one they choose to write a story on.

Seattle...then new new San Fransisco... Like one wasn't enough.
