I thought I saw somewhere that he is up in 2010??? He covers Los Angeles and am curious who is running against him? I would be willing to donate to whoever that person is and start a fundraising campaign against this guy.

Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Malibu are all parts of his district - FAT chance anyone other than a Dem/Lib will get elected in that district with any amount of money behind them. I hate to sound defeatist - but these areas are bastions of liberalism almost on par with San Francisco.

The real question is, "when is Henry Waxman going to have his nostrils lowered?"

West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Malibu are even worse than Santa Monica - not to mention the fact that Waxman is Jewish, so he's got a large backing there too - very, very large Jewish populations in Beverly Hills and I think Santa Monica and Malibu to a degree also, not so much in West Hollywood but the gay community makes up for it there.

If I may say, there will be major changes going through the Democratic party including that of Waxman's seat. I may be wrong about Waxman's seat, but it will be very close. You can't estimate his position during the election until there is someone who is powerful enough to take over his seat.

What is it with the people of California electing such loud mouth, left wing radical idiots. Look at who they have - waxman, feinstein, pelosi, boxer

No wonder that state is in such bad shape.

They are all the pits - well Feinstein has her moments, although few and far between - but we have some good names in there too, Darryl Issa is pushing the investigation into ACORN right now.

I knew they have two year sessions, but for some reason I was thinking that they staggered. I was wrong. I used to live in California myself and know how entrenched they get with the wacked out gerrymandering.

Pelosi needs to go back to her winery, restaurant business and botox parties! Oh wait ... nm :P
