I just finished watching a show called, "The Rise of Money". I imagine that someone at PBS is going to get fired.
Incredible show! It very plainly went through why welfare states fail, and used Chile as an example while discussing Milton Freidman and his experiment.
I also learned something new. When I read about Pinochet, it never went into anything other than he murdered and tortured thousands of people. I don't ever remember reading that these people were known and suspected communists. It's not a free pass, but he did rise up from a low point on the scumbag-o-meter.
The most interesting dichotomy was that a communist party exists in Chile and they sort of worship Che Guevara...but hate Pinochet. Liberal delusion exists all over the place.
I recommend this show. It even talked about how "everybody is equal in socialism" George Soros made his billions (but doesn't live like the rest of us comrades).
