What event, in your lifetime, was the most overrated in terms of media attention?
Here are my picks. I may think of others


1. The death of Princess Diana - This is hands down the winner, for me. An woman of no abilities and even fewer accomplishments, dies in a car wreck. The media, and public, go crazy. It goes on for a month or longer.

2. The O.J. Simpson trial - An over- the- hill athlete is tried for killing two people. We all know the media reaction. It went on for months.

For #3, the ridiculous coverage of Michael Jackson - both before and after his death. I refer to the "trial" a few years ago.
