Some of the local comments are amazing.

Burglars beware, committing a felony may be hazardous to your life.

Too bad.
The burglar was trying to make a living, the only way he knew how and the same way our government makes its living- thievery.

How would you like it if IRS agents got shot?

Scott Roop, the dead guys father: “I guess I’m just a little disappointed in our city. They chose to feel it wasn’t worthy of investigating further.”

Boo Freaking Hoo...

What should be investigated sir, is the lunacy of you being disappointed in your city.

Your son was a scumbag that got what scumbags like him rarely get and that is dead before they kill an innocent person.

Yup... One less moron to terrorize people.

I have said it before, and I will say it again...

I will NO LONGER yell and carry on when someone is threatening my household; I WILL SHOT TO KILL!

I will not take the chance of the degenerate trying to sue me for getting hurt on my property; I WILL KILL THEM. I will do what is necessary to protect my family and my property.

I used to think a bat or lead bar would be enough, until I heard stories...No longer. I have even had my police friends tell me flat blank... DO NOT WOUND THEM!

Im amazed how we have people in this society who feel a homeowner doesnt have the right to use deadly force on a home invader.

If it's 4 AM and you're prowling around my place, then I'd certainly shoot first and ask questions later. I don't see that any actions by the owner of the business could be construed as unreasonable.

The burglar, Ernest S. Roop chose the hour in the hopes that any defenders of the establishment would be impaired. He got what he wanted, just not the way he wanted it.

The dead punk's father was a hoot. He said “But I don’t know that property is worth deadly force."

The ALAMO was about property. The CIVIL WAR was about property. The AMERICAN REVOLUTION was about property. Of course, none of those were worth deadly force, right?

Maybe if Daddy Dearest would have raised his worthless punkass son with a modicum of respect for other people's property, then he wouldn't be burying his little failure at proper parenting.

Well Kinda...

The Civil war was more about states rights vs. national government controls.
and the Revolutionary war was more about separation from too many government controls.

Hmmm, all of a sudden a bell is ringing in my head... Epiphany ?
