View Full Version : Guess Ski's daily sig lyrics

July 16th, 2009, 12:19 pm
Okay so here's the thing.....I get ansy with my sig/avie theme. However it is baseball season so I shall stick with my Tigers throughout the summer...and the fall ;)
So to cure my antsy-ness..I am going to put lyrics from my favorite songs in my sig. I will change these lyrics every day..except on the weekends because I am not here much.
So...see if you can guess the song! Some will be the chorus of songs...and therefore easier to guess. Some will be more obscure.
Try not to Google ;)
And if you get it right...well...you get....umm...a hug from me
We shall start with my lyrics for today, Thursday July 16:
"She keeps a lock of hair in her pocket. She wears a cross around her neck. Yes, the hair is from a little boy. And the cross is someone she has not met, not yet"

I remember that song although I can't recall the artist right now.
She talks to angels?
Or did I just come up with part of the chorus?
:D

Bella is correct!
She Talks to Angels by The Black Crows
If anybody has not heard the song...I highly recommend it!

I just never "got" them. Maybe it was because I could barely understand what most of them were saying. Maybe it was because I had a distinct hatred for Master P and didn't want him to be successful, and if his label died it would be a good thing.
If memory serves, I liked a grand total of three songs on that label..."I Need A Hot Girl", "Tha Block Is Hot" and "Bling Bling".

you're generally pretty safe if you quote something made within the last 25 years.

Okay stay with me here D...I am not talking about Scarlett Jo (although I don't see the appeal)..I am talking about her skanky character! :))
1. I just saw her in Entertainment Weekly with (wait for it...)
RED HAIR. That's right...Scarlett Johansson as a redhead in Iron Man 2. They will not be able to keep me out of the theater on opening day. Even my wife asked "doesn't she look really hot with red hair?" and she WASN'T TRYING TO TRAP ME.
2. Bradley Cooper's character was far worse than hers. Not condoning her actions at all, but all he would have needed to do was end his marriage (which I realize isn't an EASY thing to do, but if you don't honestly love the person any more, why keep up the charade?), and they're happily boning like rabbits, without a damn care in the world.

But D...she specifically went after him....he was married. she even said something along the lines of "why should I not go after him just because he is married? What if he is the one?"
That is terrible...and she should be shot. Yes he is a bad guy too...but she actively went after him.....that is wrong on so many levels. And then got all ticked at him for having sex with his wife......what is the female version of *********?

I see your point...I really do. But I hold the married individual to a higher standard in that situation (and the female version of ********* is still *********, FTR). Don't get me wrong...I'm absolutely not condoning her actions...I just hold him more responsible for respecting his relationship with his wife.
Should she have stepped off when he told her he was married? Absolutely. But it's HIS responsibility to keep it in his pants as much as it is hers to keep her clothes on (regardless of how much better it is when she specifically takes her clothes off ;) )

Because we're a much more civilized group of people than you're used to dealing with. We don't do that sort of thing here.
By the way, your dignity called and left you this....................http://smilies.vidahost.com/contrib/tweetz/moon.gif

With all these moons around here, "cracking" is an appropriate word.

Why thank you Doc. Coming from you that means a lot. Do I qualify to become one of the Knights who say "Nee", now?

That would be "Knights Who Say Ni", but no.
I do, however, confer unto thee the title of "Sir Robin"

Yeah, and I even compared his ass to Tislaw's. Not at all favorably mind you, but I did make the comparison.

Yeah, but you're a Sox fan...had it coming.
And in my defense...he DID tell me my ass wasn't as good as Tislaw's. Granted, this was AFTER I'd conferred his title, but how picky are you going to get here?

Dude, seriously, can you fathom the ramifications if I'd said your ass was NICER than Tislaw's??? In the first place, it's NOT. But just saying it, even in jest, would have caused me to have to claw my own eyes out with a rusty fork. You're okay but, that's not the kind of sacrifice I'm willing to make to save our friendship.
And now, since I have no idea where this incoherent rambling is going, and also because for the life of me I can't think of a good punchline to wrap it up, I'm just going to go and try to find out why there's a penguin sitting on my television.

We're good. I can agree to Tislaw having a better ass than I do.
And you're right...the backlash upon you in that thread would have been merciless had you been kinder to my situpon...I mean, Goose would probably have switched your avie to a Richard Simmons pic, and that would have been the LIGHTEST of it.
Figure out why there's a penguin on your TV yet? I'm dying of anticipation.

No need. You start throwing around Babs Streisand or Liza Minelli references though and there will be NO forgiveness.
