In the first hour of today's show, Sean made reference to a photograph, supposedly depicting the President looking at a young girl's behind. I knew, and saw the piece of video where it is obvious what he was really doing. I knew by 1pm. Why then would Mr. Hannity make reference to the photo, as if it were something sordid? Then asking women what they would think of their husband if they saw them do this?
I just find that disturbing.

The second thing he was discussing, was the President NOT giving any money to his less fortunate family members. With all his money, why wouldn't he be helping them out?
Fact is... we have NO idea if he has ever helped his family. WE don't know. And to say he hasn't, or why hasn't he? Is just not a factual comment, because no one, short of his family would know it for sure.

I am trying to discuss what was said, without being disrespectful. I hope I've succeeded.

Respectfully, neither you nor anyone else knows for definite SURE what Obama was looking at. What they DISHONESTLY did NOT show was videotape of the seconds BEFORE he helped the woman down. If you saw the pic, it was CLEARLY before the woman he helped even came INTO the situation. NO CAMERA is THAT GOOD to snapshot 10ths of a second before he helps the woman down. No way, uh uh. But, like I said, if they release the videotape prior to him helping the woman, I'll check that out too. If not, well then they're dishonest in my eyes, as they have been for a very long time. This is the SAME administration who got the EXCLUSIVE rights to a townhall from INSIDE THE WHITEHOUSE itself.

This is not about good journalism or worrying about accuracy. This is about marketing and feeding information your audience wants to hear. Mr. Hannity's audience simply wants to hear him take off on the president and the Democratic party. It doesn't matter if anything he says is 100 per cent accurate. All that matters is if it can be interpeted as being accurate (or is such a vague statement that its accuracy could never be deduced anyway).

In this case, who the hell knows for sure? The right, which hates Obama with a passion and thinks only evil thoughts of him, are going to take anything and paint it in the worst possible light. Hence, their view of the picture. Mr. Hannity, being a smart guy, knows this and simply gives them this as part of the red meat he feeds them four hours a day. He has sponsors who will pay him big money to do so. He has loyal listeners and viewers who pay rapt, adoring attention to him. If you listen closely, you will notice that many of his statements are vague indictments or go over past issues. There is really little need to veer off course. One can take anything anybody says or does and maneuver it such that it will reflect badly (or, as as he does with Ronald Reagan, proudly) on the person. That's marketing.

In fact, if he didn't do things like this, he would likely lose his audience to Glenn Beck or Michael Savage or somebody who will be more accommodating.

Every president (and every person) makes gaffes. Obama's 57 states, Bush's pretzle, HW Bush puking on the Japanese PM, Ford falling down, etc.

Sadly, this is also true. I don't care about little mistakes like the famous Bush door episode or the 57 state thing. Those are small potatoes compared to the big picture. The difference is the right has a fairly large forum -- the majority of the talk show industry on radio and an entire TV network devoted to their cause -- in which to promote any semi-truth they want. As has been made clear by the audiences of the various pundits, it is the main message (Obama is bad. Obama is evil. Obama must be stopped at all costs, etc.) that matters. How they get there is immaterial.

As I ponder your question as to why a conservative commentator would attack a liberal President, I am reminded of the slanderous and malicious statements made against Bush by the bias media. Obama for whatever anyone want to say about him, weither you support him or do not, he lacks class. Bush had class and a strong character that was evident, even though he lacked a strong public presence. Obama is just low class. Example: Bush was not asked by Obama to be there on the day troops pulled out of Iraq. If thing were swapped, Bush would have had Obama there to give him credit for a democratic Iraq. One more thing, when Bush said something, you had a sense that he was telling you the truth. I don't get that at all with Obama.

You're assuming he knows every kid that his dad fathered. I don't know how old Obama was when his dad ditched him, but I think was very young.
It's unrealistic to expect a child to keep track of the kids his dad is fathering on the other side of the world.

And I'm going out on a limb here, but I imagine it must be difficult to track down all those siblings decades after the fact. Much less support them.

I knew, and saw the piece of video where it is obvious what he was really doing. I knew by 1pm. Why then would Mr. Hannity make reference to the photo, as if it were something sordid?
