I'm going to guess that the "unidentified youth" is actually a young (probably early 20's)Secret Service agent.
Either that, or they're out of the camera angle.

Children of former presidents until age 16
Visiting heads of foreign states or governments and their spouses traveling with them, other distinguished foreign visitors to the United States, and official representatives of the United States performing special missions abroad

And you're wrong either way. I'm pretty sure the Secret Service has been taking care of the children of presidents for quite some time now. They've made movies about it.

Michelle Obama is the First Lady, not the VP (and FYI...Palin wasn't running for president. It just seemed that way by the way GOPers were falling all over themselves for her).
We have no way to know how a Republican president with young children would be treated, because we haven't had a Republican president with young children since long before I was born (1977). Remember...Bush's daughters were enrolling at UT by the time he took office, plus Reagan and Bush 41's children were all very grown up (and in some cases, running states) by the time they were president.
Now, if Palin does run and win in '12 or '16 (I believe Trig will be the only kid left under the age of 18 by then, but I could be wrong...I don't know all of her kids' ages), and she (or Todd) are criticized for bad parenting because they allowed the Secret Service to watch their kids...I'll defend them too. Because part of the job of President/First Spouse is to welcome foreign dignitaries and spend time with them. And when they visit foreign countries, they are expected to spend time with the leaders of those nations as well.
As I say all the time...there is PLENTY (tax issues, health care, etc) to criticize about Barack Obama. But all of the personal attacks are a massive fail.

I didn't realize that Michelle Obama was president.
I did hear a lot of criticism about Sarah Palin's decision to focus on her career instead of her kids, and not all of it from liberals. I found it insulting. Her kids would be taken care of in the WH (well, technically the Naval Observatory, but whatever), by her, her husband, and assortment of aids.
As far as the Obama kids are concerned, I'm sure the Secret Service is taking very good care of them. If that guy isn't an agent himself--and they do hire young agents to protect important children, then he's been well vetted.
I for one would not be comfortable putting the moves on an adolescent girl who is surrounded by people with guns.

I don't have kids, but my parents let me have some leeway when I was 11. Especially when they were at work/busy.
I used to bike all over my hometown by myself or with friends.
And the agents aren't nannys, they go everywhere the kids go. Those kids are probably the safest in the world.
And as a general rule, I usually stay away from second-guessing the parenting abilities of others, especially when I don't know them.

Now that I re-looked at the first pic, the dude in the tank top is not wearing an ear-piece.
I retract my previous assertion.
They could all be agents, or none of them could be. Considering the guy in the tank is grabbing her arm, I would assume he's an agent. If he's not, then her entire detail could be in for a serious tongue-lashing.

I dont know if you guys know this or not, but the USSS agents dont have super powers, they arent faster than a speeding bullet, they rely mostly on thier presence to deter attackers, in other words there are no undercover protective agents, I dont know who this guy is nor do I care but he is not Secret Service.
If USSS let that guy get that close to an 11-year old girl, then they deserve to be canned.
If he's not an agent, I'll eat my hat.

Like I said I dont really care who the guy is, he could be a trusted staff member or such but I will repeat there are no undercover Secret service agents on protective detail, they depend on potential attackers knowing they are there to do thier job and doing the undercover thing would be counter productive.

Special Agents of the Secret Service wear attire that is appropriate for the surroundings. In many circumstances, the attire is a conservative business suit, but attire can range from a dinner jacket to blue jeans. Photographs often show them wearing sunglasses and a communication earpiece. They also wear lapel pins of a color and shape that, for security purposes, varies regularly, but each design prominently features the service's star emblem in the center. These lapel pins are usually changed hourly when agents travel with the President. The attire for Uniformed Division Officers includes standard police uniforms, or utility uniforms and ballistic/identification vests for members of the countersniper team, Emergency Response Team (ERT), and canine officers.
The shoulder patch of the USSS Uniformed Division consists of the presidential seal on white or black depending on the garment to which it is attached. While there is no official patch indicating "Secret Service," Special Agents have occasionally designed and purchased unofficial patches to trade in their extensive collaborations with uniformed law enforcement officers.
I don't see P-Diddy wanna be wear in there anywhere.

I doubt he is an agent. He may be authorized to be there, but I bet he is not SS.

I don't have kids, but my parents let me have some leeway when I was 11. Especially when they were at work/busy.
I used to bike all over my hometown by myself or with friends.
.
I do not believe Your parents would have extended the "leeway" on a trip overseas....

I wondered if the guy with the goatee and blue shirt was SS but I wasn't sure enough to say so.
Are you with me though...tempest in a teapot?
I was thinking that guy probably wasn't SS and said so earlier, but since then I have found pics that show the SS agents in the blue shirt and jacket just like him sooooo................he just might be. :)

Also, in this pic he is beside the big dude in the other photo (not P-Diddy wannabe). The one that looks like he could wrestle a bear and win. :)

They wouldn't have, but my dad wasn't the president, and didn't have an army of Secret Service agents to protect me. And from the other pics, it appears she wasn't alone.
And I'll concede that Tank Top Man may not be an agent, but he has to have been authorized by them to be there (family friend, maybe?) so his criminal record is probably pure as the driven snow.
...Which makes his gangsta outfit all the more ironic.

Yes, it does.
Looks like he took some of grandma Obama's bracelets and threw them on. She was wearing something rather similar. :))
