Am I the only one who is not wondering if Paul has hit a nerve?
And yes it kills me to admit it.

Pauls a good senator from what ive seen, no reason to knock any senator for good work. Hell Id give pelosi credit if she did something useful once in her life, instead of turning people to stone when the look into her eyes. Good work is good work, and if it can help the country then it deserves praise, anything different is just partisan ******** putting the country second.

I personally could care less if he ruins his career cause He is a politician maybe he will get a real job after what matters is this act. This is important. The idea not the man. I will support this but sometimes you have to do whats right not whats easy.

This isn't the first time Paul has introduced this, I think it goes back to the 70's,his wanting to audit the Fed.,if not abolish.
Again, thanks for the link though,it shows Bernanke to not have a problem regulating everyone...just not his baby, the Fed.

his point is that this issue has been brought up many times but is hushed by whoever is in power. Also that Bernanke is a ****ing bag of crap and will want noone to see what he is doing behind this massive curtain called the Fed Reserve.

There is a reason why it's very likely even with massive popular support, this bill will not pass: accountability. They like the way things are now, where there is none.
There are two ways to pay for bailouts, etc.
1.) Taxes. This is politically suicidal, especially if we paid for everything up front, instead of passing it on to our great grandchildren.
2.) Borrow it. This is unlimited because of the Fed.
Imagine if you would, if Obama had to tell people that they were going to be short $200 a month for 10 years to pay for the bailouts.. You'd see a bi-partisan "go to hell." People don't care because we can just charge it. And as long as the majority really doesn't care, this type of stuff we see now will continue.
The Fed is the enabler of big government, and so it's likely going to be defended hardily by the existing power structure.

Yep, that's why short of abolishing, I support PAYGO(true PAYGO) and wish taxpayers had to write a check to the IRS each month.

I dont agree with Paul on alot of issues myself, that said I would also cut off my right sack of manhood to have him as a voice here in the Peoples Republic of Maryland. If we had about 20%more people in the GOP like Paul I think we would be in a much different place right now, maybe even with a much better outlook on the country. Its fine to disagree with him, but praise when right is a good thing. If the Repubs will get behind him now, great, but I am cautious that it will not last, as the Fed Reserv has been protected by both parties in the past. Even the Party that I am a semi-proud member of.

Liberals would object to that.
Just as conservatives did.
Republicans in control (or majority) did not mean conservatives in control (or majority).
Democrats in control (or majority) doesn't mean the liberals have all that clout either.

see thats were you are wrong cause the majority in the congress and wh is liberal .
Not if you ask liberals, or read actual liberal media publications.
Read Mother Jones, The Nation, or even Huffington Post.
They act as if they are an oppressed minority just as conservatives do.
There Presidential candidates (Gravel, Kucinhich, etc) all lost too.

They are comparatively liberal, next to conservatives, but not liberal as a stand alone group.
Just like when liberals call Bush conservative, conservatives object, and rightly so.
