I understand that MJ had no children from his marriage to Elvis's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.

Later, Debbie Rowe, became the mother (Straight, or Host surrogate??) of two children, Prince Michael Jackson, and Paris Jackson, while married to Michael Jackson.

But what I'm not getting is legally how MJ has a third child, know as Prince Michael II - known as Blanket. This may be common knowledge to others, but I seriously do not know.

We don't know who the mother is, or how she became pregnant, or by whom. How is this child Michaels? Did MJ adopt this child ? Can you enlighten me on this ? ?

The actual biological parents of the three Jackson kids are still unknown to the public. I think it's pretty clear at this point that Michael Jackson was not the biological father of the children. Though there's even questions now that Debbie Rowe may not have been the biological mother of the older two kids either. Apparently she just carried the babies but it was another woman's egg. So no one knows except Michael, Debbie and the biological parents. As far as Michael being the legal parent of his kids, it would seem he was. There was one report a few days ago that he may not have legally adopted the kids but that story hasn't taken off and seems like BS. But if you watched the memorial and saw the three kids especially Paris' speech at the end, you'll know that whether biologically or not or even legally or not, Michael was their father and he loved them as much as they loved him. He raised them and in his daughter's words, he was the best father you could ever imagine.

Lawyers would know better but with the first 2, they were born during the marriage. I think in most states that makes him the father if he didn't walk away.

Imagine some guy marries a woman who is still sleeping around, she gets pregnant and has the child and immediately gets a divorce. Guess who's on the hook for the child's support!

Yes, I understand that.... If a man and woman are married and the woman gives birth, no matter how the sperm and egg got in her womb.... and there is no contest to the birth, then by law, the baby is, by law their child, no matter who's sperm and egg were actually used in the first place. Many variations on this theme....

But, what I was hoping would be answered, is how the third child is legally MJ's child.

Anyone care to attempt an answer??

Blanket was born through an unnamed surrogate mother who was artificially inseminated with Jackson's sperm.

I remember Jackson saying in an interview once that the criteria for the surrogate was mostly good health and "Good eyesight. She has to be 20/20."

So, on the birth certificate, would the birth mother be named?

Plain and simple: Michael Jackson purchased the rights to those kids...period. Hopefully when they turn 21, one of them will go searching for the truth.

I know that at one time evidence of the biological father of a child in a marriage was not admissible (or relevent) in matters of divorce or support.
The husband was the legal father unless total non-access was certain.(i.e. in a submarine for a year before the birth)

Sometimes knowing the truth is worse than not knowning.

Yeah but the problem is that truth is the mirror they look into everyday.
