My friends, if you don't see too much of me after tonight it won't be because I haven't enjoyed your company. After a very long time on night shift at my hospital I'm going to days.

On dayshift there will be a lot less time for me to spend on this forum. On my days off I will be occupied with honeydew projects but will try to get here from time to time.

Stay healthy, safe, and happy.

Ew. Dayshift.

It's full of administration and managers and other assorted folks who get on my nerves.

Hope it goes well for you. I did try days (doc insisted I get off of nights) but after so long working at night I found I couldn't get enough sleep.

I know, I know, bosses, relatives of patients, and other denisons of healthcare. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse and it will make my wife happy.

So......

Thanks.

The good news is I'll still work every other weekend and 12 hour shifts too. that way I'll have some nice days during the week off.

Speaking of hours, when I first went into healthcare, I did not like having to work weekends much. I knew I had to but I didn't like it. Now, even though after being there more than 25 years I am entitled to have weekends off I opted not to take it. I thoroughly enjoy having two to three weekdays off. It will be even more enjoyable when I don't have to nap in the afternoon.
