While no one can be sure what her next move will be, I believe that Palin has her sights set on not only the Presidency in 2012 but also to spearhead a massive “Contract With America” type shift in Congress as well, all without the “help” of the Republican Party.

The Country is drowning with Librulism/Marxism/Socialism/Facsism/Statism. We have moved dramatically Left since the Dems took over Congress in 2006 and with Bush’s abandonment of Free Enterprise and the election of a genuine Marxist, the Capital Markets have been reacting like a hair-on-fire-this-is-not-a-test Panic.

Sarah understands that Freedom and Free Enterprise make America strong and prosperous.

She will spearhead a national effort, a national coalition around Conservative principles, and this is why the Left and the Republican Party loathe her and seek to destroy her.

She has to build a base like Reagan did in 79 so the RNC will have no choice but to accept her. She will lead a movement to seat real small government Conservative in Congress, sort of like what Newt did in 94, but for real this time

Sarah 2012: the Reagan Presidency with a Conservative Congress.

I've seen the future and the Libruls won't like it one bit.

I thought this as well, and will support. Also, I think she is sitting in a room, a very large room with electronics experts, media experts, and slick video makers, and the like, to out media blitz the 0b0... Its gonna be a complete meltdown when she comes out swingin. :) Yea, its gonna take a lot of months to even be able to come out as slick as she needs to be.

Such a massive scale undercover operation would actually take intelligence to construct - intelligence that Palin no doubt doesn't possess.

It would take SERIOUS capital to undertake what you suggest. If she can pull that kind of money together WITHOUT GOP support, more power to her. I don't think she CAN, but...

the 2 party system may be in love with its corrupt self, but this effort, if it is as predicted here, will showcase a new conservatism that is growing. ITs gonna be interesting.

How I wish such a thing were to happen....I have no doubt that in 4 years everybody will be looking for an alternative to the 2 parties that have contributed to this chaos..need not be Palin, but people are definitely going to be frustrated enough to vote for anybody except those that are there now - sort of like what happened in 2008 - anybody except Bush or anybody that even looks remotely like Bush

I actually laugh at those who think she's the 21st century's Margaret Thatcher, Queen Esther, Golda Mier, etc.

no third party can do anything.

She made a severe tactical blunder by resigning.
if she is smart, it's time to quit politics now, and focus on her family.
Quitting from a governorship is political suicide.

I don't comment much on Palin threads.
This is why. I think she has left politics. I can applaud that-
but I cannot ever applaud someone resigning from being a governor, unless they simply cannot do the duties of the job.

Palin has neither the intellectual horsepower nor the time and determination required to pull something like this off. She's shown zero inclination to do this, either.
Pure wishful thinking, Frank.

Actually there have always been third parties (usually more) historacally speaking, just very rarely are more than two considered popular at the time. The GOP has only existed as the Republican party since 1854. And the Democratic party used to be the Democratic Republican party (which oddly enough believed in states rights and strict constitutionalism). I think that these sorts of confusions lead to certain groups (Catholics for instance) calling themselves Democrats but not actually understanding many of the things that their party stands for today. Much like a family fued that has waged for generations and nobody remembers why it started.
But the point is that parties do come and go, just because it has not happened in some time does not mean it wont happen. The biggest thing is that I think more people need to be engaged in deciding what they think is right and then deciding what group or groups may be thinking like them.
I know I did this myself way back when, I just don't think enough do.

I disagree that it's a tactical blunder....should she seek wise tutelage yes.
Is she going to have to overcome detractors.....sure.
Is it insurmountable....no.

I'm sure at some point Alaskans will respect the fact that she did what is right and good for Alaska. Making people in the lower 48 understand why she did what she did won't be easy however, spin-doctors can work miracles.
