...is the baby Michael Jackson.

Seriously though, I'll always remember the Michael Jackson of my youth during his days with the Jackson Five, and then through the time of the Thriller Album, before things got weird.

I watched part of the memorial today and will never forget that most poignant moment when his daughter spoke of her love for her father. You just can't get anymore real than that, and no one can say anything better about him.

My prayers and condolences go out to the family and, especially, his children.

even beyond thriller he was amazing! people tend to not look beyond his work after thriller because that was his "masterpiece", which I agree on. However, he wrote some amazing tracks after thriller, its just tough to beat an album like that, when youve got songs as great as Thriller, and HUGE stars appearing on amazing songs like Paul Mccartney on the girl is mine, and Eddie VanHalen shredding guitar on Beat IT!

to me anything from baby michael to the early 90's is how I remember him.

Man in the Mirror was one that I liked listening to when it was on the radio.

That was a great song, but Michael had embraced weirdness by that time and was well on his way to being a freak show. Sad thing is there was nothing wrong with the way he looked before he embarked on all that foolishness. Too much money and too much time on his hands, I guess.

I liked him during the Jackson Five years. He was normal looking, a far cry from his years of looking and acting like a freak.

I thought he looked so good back in his early rise to fame. I don't know why he had to change himself so much.

Actually...I thought he looked best after his first nosejob...the Smooth Criminal/The Way You Make Me Feel Years.

His photo on the Thriller album shows a physically beautiful human. How screwed up was his self-esteem that he thought he had to improve on that?

Back when he made thriller, he could have had any woman he wanted! When he ruined his face with plastic surgery, all I could think of was what a waste. Not into guys but he was a good looking man.
And that's the nicest thing you'll ever hear me say about MJ.

Some people have very strange notions about how they look, and it often mirrors other deep seated issues.

I have a freind that has GORGEOUS Val Kilmer-esque lips and if he had the money to get plastic surgery I'm sure he would. Then I'd have to smack him. Some people no matter how much outside adoration they get still don't feel right on the inside when it comes to their body.
