Stupid libs will never learn that you can't tax problems away...unless of course you think wealth is a problem.
To fairly divide the climate change fight between rich and poor, a new study suggests basing targets for emission cuts on the number of wealthy people
and...
House Ways and Means Committee members are likely to propose a surtax (http://www.ncpa.org/pub/ba599) on high-income Americans to help pay for an overhaul of the health-care system
People becoming wealthy is not the problem or even a problem... it is however a solution!

I am hoping that this will put an end to most of this climate change stuff because the rich are the ones trying to implement it and it's coming back on themselves.

Congress will tax wealthy Americans to help pay for this. It'll tax wealthy Americans to help pay for that.
Wealthy Americans are at the disposal of the Congress. I.E., government doesn't serve wealthy Americans; wealthy Americans serve government. How very discouraging that any American citizen is at the beck and call of our government. Liberty and property rights be damned.

I would hate to be the ones to tell a developing country, sorry you can't develop because of climate change. Your teeth have to keep rotting, you still have to keep that 45 year average age length, keep drinking that muddy sewer water...

This is their usual ruse. Hit the dumbmasses with wealth envy and class warfare to get their plundering passed, then hit the dumbmasses from behind.

Obama/democrats have a very low threshold for being rich.

At least Dem's have the common sense that if they enact massive spending they raise taxes to pay for it.

Climate rage and health scare are nothing more than progressives attempts to grab more power and control away from the people.

At least Dem's have the common sense that if they enact massive spending they raise taxes to pay for it.except of course that its a proven fact that cutting taxes yields more revenue for the government in the long run.

My common sense says to spend less when I break the bank.

Only if you cut spending along with taxes.

So that means JFK either didn't have common sense or that he wasn't a dem.

Only if you cut spending along with taxes. You're still confused. If you increase revenue, why would you have to cut spending?

Only if you cut spending along with taxes.I would love to cut spending too. But that has nothing to do with generated revenues.

What is the difference between a "surtax" and just increasing the rate of income tax?

Because cutting taxes doesn't increase revenue.
