The man who says international sports tours need to leave North America for the fanciest Asian hotspots and the Middle East has praised Saddam Hussein and Adolph Hitler.

Max Moseley of the FIA, a lightning rod in the controversy in motor racing in Europe, has now praised the worst of the worst dictators, and has said stupid things -- including saying most Yanks don't even know Bosnia (a former Yugoslav republic which was at the helm of the 1914 assassination of Archduke Ferdinand by Princip, leading to WWI, and capital Sarajevo was the host of the 1984 Winter Olympics*).

* A 1986 decision by the International Olympic Committee separated the Winter and Summer Olympic years in order to ensure full preparation of the Olympic venues and marketing. This was made effective after the 1992 Olympics.

Max Mosly is the son of British NAZI sympathizer and active Fascist Oswald Mosly so the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

While the man needs to keep his mouth shut, in all fairness he was just being honest on the issue of being a decisive leader. Although he might have been better off chosing Atilla the Hun, or Leonidas.
