1st No Tax Campaign Pledge, 12 September 2008, Dover, NH
"I can make a firm pledge," he said. "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."
He repeatedly vowed "you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime."
Lowering the limbo stick (Obama TV ads during the campaign)
“First he advertised that nobody would pay higher taxes unless they earned over $250,000 a year. Now his TV ads say the threshold is $200,000.
How low can you go? (running mate, Joe Biden on TV)
In campaign remarks in Pennsylvania, running mate Joe Biden lowered it again, to $150,000.
Inauguration Speech, 20 January 2009, Washington, DC, the last promise
"Listen now, I will cut taxes—cut taxes—for 95 percent of all working families, because, in an economy like this, the last thing we should do is raise taxes on the middle class."
And now, reality sets in
April 1, 2009 - Smokers are gasping at higher cigarette and cigar prices as the largest federal tobacco tax increase in history takes effect. The cigarette excise tax that tobacco companies must pay the federal government rose Wednesday by 61.6 cents per pack, or $6.16 per carton. The tax now comes to about $10.10 per carton, or $1.01 per pack. But major tobacco companies began incorporating that increase into their prices to wholesalers in March. And the companies, wholesalers and retailers in many cases gave prices a boost beyond the tax increase, in part to make up for an expected drop in sales caused by the hike, some of them said. (See children, government gets more of your hard earned money and you will always pay the bills because taxes are always passed on to the consumer).
June 26, 2009 – Cap & Trade narrowly passes the House 219-212. Obama direct quote; “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.” (Obama actually admits you are going to get the short end of the stick. This may be the first time in history Obama has ever even strayed near the truth)
June 28, 2009 - The Obama White House left open the possibility Sunday that the president would break a campaign promise and raise taxes on people earning less than $250,000 to support his health care overhaul agenda. White House adviser David Axelrod said the administration wouldn't rule out taxing some employees' benefits to fund a health care agenda that has yet to take final form. The move would be a compromise with fellow Democrats, who are pushing the proposal as a way to pay for the massive undertaking without ballooning the federal deficit. (It’s coming, just keep watching and not acting. Another passing the cost to the taxpayer; never – never cut any worthless programs; but just keep piling it on)
When it’s all said and done, the current crop of criminals in DC are going to raise your taxes every time you blink! Why? Because they have more massive spending to accomplish, furthering the agenda of total government control over your ass from here on. They know they can’t extract the full measure from taxation but they can, in effect, create the illusion of increased revenues in order to keep selling securities to China, OPEC and the rest of the world, and running the printing presses 24/7. They have learned from Wall Street very well. And just like the criminals who put risky mortgage packages into bundles and called them securities, this administration is doing the same with your future.
Quote Obama from Los Angeles “you ain’t seen nothing yet”.
Reality – You sure haven’t!
