I'm here to get some feedback on a situation that troubled me regarding Hannity and Michael Jackson.
First, about Hannity radio...no kick. Always excellent! This is purely about the TV show.
Like many of you, I watched the Cap and Trade debacle with the intensity of a championship game. Made the telephone calls like I was advised to do...the works.
After the vote I tuned into Hannity on the tube and what do I see? Wall to wall Michael Jackson. I was appalled. My feeling is that he either had high ratings from folks who normally never watch, or ratings down in the swamps of Never Never land by folks like me going offline.
I'd love for someone who knows to tell me that he was forced to go Jackson, when his heart was Cap and Trade. Can anyone do that? Would anyone offer to defend Fox's performance in general by going total Jackson (including the obligatory long lens helicopter chase shot) when the issue was Cap and Trade? This is one time when my favorite network let me down big time, and I don't think I'm alone, and I'd like for them to know it.
Thanks

Since Alan Colmes decided to leave it is obvious that the power that be at Fox have dumbed down Seans show. While I have no doubt he has some form of input I suspect he does not have control over the content of the show.

It does make me cringe seeing Sean interview celebs and having B list celebs on his debate panel.

This is not a criticism of Sean and hopefully people can see I am not trying to to do a COH. But without doubt Seans show has changed and not for the better.

It does not surprise me that there was coverage of Jackson over important political issues. Fox does this all the time, as do the other networks, we live in a world where we can spend hours on the death of a celebrity but 60 seconds on a bill which will impact America in one way or another.

This will not be popular on here but the best place for hard news is BBC America, there 7pm news show is on for an hour and covers issues in some depth but they cover world news and I know a significant portion of Americans dont give a crap what happens outside their own shores, hence why networks like Fox do around the world in 90 seconds.

BBC America?? I don't think I've seen that. I'll have to look for the station.
