Three from NJ - and in our recent Republican primary which pitted a true Conservative, Steve Lonegan, against the party-backed moderate, Christie (who worked very hard to convince people that he was conservative), both the party and the media who fell in line behind Christie and attempted to justify their support by citing his "conservative" backers, primarily Chris Smith, but also LoBiondo.

One of the idiots here in NY voted for it. Funny thing, one of most liberal dems from NY - Dan Maffei - voted against it.

Fantastic

Fantastic

Wasn't said "idiot" who voted for it from NY, offered position of Sec of Army, and thus in a quid pro quo changed his opposition to the affirmative. Really, really stinks if you ask me.

East coast loons, West coast loons, Mid West loons. Does it really matter where they come from? Not to me. If this vote doesn't wake people up then this country is really headed down the crapper with one tremendous flush to clear all the **** at once out of the bowl.

What really ticks me off is the quid pro quo that is being offered. This is no different than what Blago did with Obama's seat. Not too suprisingly, the same tactics were the same for the Sec of Army position as was the senate position.

Politics in this country are getting dirtier and dirtier. Not that they weren't crooked before. It is just now they don't seem one lick to care about covering their tracks. It is this basic slap in your face policy that they have and they don't care who knows about it.

I am really afraid for the future of this country. I have seen dirty politics before. I guess it is just more blatent this time around then before.

Just heard LoBiondo take a grilling on a local radio program. People told him flat out they would never vote for him again.

Did these 8 also vote for the bailouts?

LoBiondo didn't vote for the bailout. One thing all three have in common is that they were all supporters of the RINO gubenatorial candidate Chris Christie.
Heard a second local show while I was out running errands - about 10 calls in succession just blasting LoBiondo, vowing that they will never vote for him again. He has had a pretty solid hold on his seat, even through some dicey votes, but this could do him in.
