I am not sure I will really miss either of them.

I miss the MJ of old...the one who contributed so much to the music industry. And I will say that I was looking forward to seeing if he would be able to come out with more music and seeing what the outcome of that would have been.

I have never wanted to buy a product that Mays hocks on tv...so I really can't say I will miss him...although I do get a chuckle out of his commercials and I enjoyed the few episodes of his show that I have watched.

I feel bad for the families of both...who are no doubt going to miss these men..and the kids they leave behind.

All of this goes for Farrah Fawcett as well.

I am no Michael Jackson fan but there is little doubt that he was a great talent (Fred Astaire complimented his dancing) and provided an enormous amount of entertainment to his fans throughout the world.

BTW I regret the lose of Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon more than either Michael Jackson or Billy Mays but I fail to see how that opinion would matter to anyone. (and you know I usually value my opinion.)
What is the purpose of your question ?
What is your opinion ?

I don't think I'll literally "miss" either of them either, but if I had to compare them side by side, I'm sorry to say I'd miss Michael Jackson more. Like him or hate him over the controversial and eccentric stuff, he was a very musically talented guy. The guy had a lot of hits, a lot of catchy tunes, and he made a big contribution to music. In that sense, he'll be missed. I'll never miss a commercial....lol!

I will miss Mays more. I was really enjoying his new series, and I actually kind of like his infomercials. Never kept up on Michael in the past few years.

Where was the 'none of the above' option?

How do you know that much about Billy Mays ?
And are you know and are positive of any specific horrible things Michael Jackson did to children ?

I did not deny (or affirm) anything.
I simply responded to notluzn's accertion Originally Posted by notluzn

Jackson was one of the top artists in Pop music history. However, his great contributions are a thing of the past.

Mays was a current star, still producing commercials that people love. His career was far from over.

So, in that context, I guess I'll miss Hays more.
