Was he a GOP supporter?

I don't know but I am glad he wasn't the voice of the GOP.

That voice will not be missed.

What's that got to do with anything?

TMZ says he got hit in the head on a hard landing at the airport. I wonder if something happened there. It says he was unresponsive when his wife tried to wake him up.

Pitchmen is a good show.

We were only just getting to know you and your great family Billy. RIP.

Not that i'm distraught, but this, oddly enough, struck me as a bigger tragedy than Jacko dying.

Yeah, Jackson had a history of medical problems, Billy just looked so full of life. Here today gone tomorrow I guess.

LOl exactly, Billy Mays was an infomercial god. Many a night when I have been unable to sleep Billy saw me through the wee hours with his gaudy infomercials about hercules hooks, mighty putty and the like.

I guess that's it.......Jackson really didn't surprise me. But to see someone who seems healthy and alive suddenly go is kind of sad and unsettling.

Thank You. God Bless your familyDiscovery Channel spokeswoman Elizabeth Hillman released a statement Sunday extending sympathy to the Mays family.

"Everyone that knows him was aware of his larger-than-life personality, generosity and warmth," Hillman's statement said. "Billy was a pioneer in his field and helped many people fulfill their dreams. He will be greatly missed as a loyal and compassionate friend."

rip, hawkerMy thoughts exactly when I read that he had been hit on the head by some unknown object in the hard landing of the plane the day before. Might have had internal bleeding in the brain.

I made a post just a few weeks ago about living every day as it's your last. Tell your family and friends you love em while you still have breath. Spend quality time w/ them, and don't put the internet, or any other empty distractions before them.

I only knew him for the oxyclean commercials. RIP

What the hell is going on?

It's called death. Happens to everyone eventually.;)

This is bizarre. My husband works for USAirways and he was telling me about this flight that landed yesterday and something happened with the front landing gear or something. Apparently Billy was on that flight and hit his head. No seat belt. He probably had bleeding on the brain or something.:(

Seems to have been a heart attack and not a head injury.

A Florida medical examiner said Monday that an autopsy of television pitchman Billy Mays showed that he suffered no head trauma and that his death appears to be the result of a heart attack during his sleep.

the day of his death.. before he died.. or at least before they announced it..... i was watching a pitchman show.....

they had the part where they are interviewing people about their products.... one guy came in and had a device that would let cars run off water......

billy was very excited, but sully said "if we pitch that product, they will put a hit out on us".....

billy somewhat agreed with sully not to do the pitch for that product, but you could see he was still interested.......

about an hour later, they announced billy's death.......

that freaked me out a little......
