All the threads about death and dying got me to thinking about my own death and how I want to leave this old world.
For my wake I don't want no stinking funeral home, I want to be laid out in the local tavern, drinks are on me. I want the juke box to loaded down with country music, most of it fast and lively with a few others thrown in. Last one to be "holes in the floor of heaven".
Enjoy yourself, have fun, and remember all the good times we had and laugh at all the bad jokes I have told. And there are many of them that were bad.
But don't cry for christs sake, we did enough of that while I was around.
I doubt if that will happen and they'll blame it on health regulations, but we all know it is to keep people from having fun at a funeral.
