View Full Version : What do you think your government thinks about you?

With the passage of the cap & trade in the House, all the stimulus and bailouts, the threat of socialized medicine etc etc....I honestly feel as though my government is giving me the bird. I truly believe they could care less what any of us think, they are intent upon doing what they want and what will increase their own power.

Is anyone else as angry as I am right now?

I'm not surprised...that's all I can really say.

I gave up on anger ages ago.

I agree, they really do not care what this does to the average American. They do not represent us. The majority of people who put these clowns in office don't have a clue what's going on and I'm not sure they care.

How true. I knew we would eventually lose our freedoms, I never imagined it would happen this quickly.

I am sure they consider us "useful idiots"Yes, but I believe that if they had their way, they wouldn't even want us "useful idiots" around to get in their way.

I've never seen so much greed, corruption, and dirty politics as what is going on with this congress at this time.

My lord, they were making deals right on the house floor during the debate. That is beyond arrogant. It is despicable.

It is all about power and money right now. What the people think means nothing. There are only a handful of representatives who really represent the people that elected them.

I pray it will be a rude awakening for these people come 2010 and 2012.

Yep.

I believe there are a few that go in with good intentions, but they either are corrupted by the greed or they don't get very far....

I think they underestimate us. I believe in the American people and I think that one day soon the idiots in Washington are gonna turn around and say "we really screwed the pooch" as they clean out their desk.
I may be a dreamer, but I think the American people are going to wake up.

Hey neither did i, I was one of the people telling others to chill about obama before he took office before they started criticizing them.

I think that they believe I am a cowardly idiot stooge....

I am so angry, I cannot believe that they continue to push bills through without even bothering to read the damn things....

You know I too thought that we would lose more freedoms , I just thought that we would have time, a bit more time .

One of the reasons that I hear regarding the uninformed, is that they have had enough of Obama and politics from the 2 years of campaign and don't want to hear anymore.....

I hear you Sons of Liberty.... I am mad as hell.

I read a good book several years ago, I wish I could remember the name, written by a Republican congressman's experience as a freshman pol in Washington following Gingrich's passage of the Contract with America. The book goes on to document how freshmen congressional representatives are read the political "facts of life" once they get to Washington, and that if they hope to become career politicians they had better toss their idealism out the window............Man, I wish I could remember the title. I'd love to read it again.

And my understanding is that no one even read this piece of garbage.
