I do agree with the decline of public schools, however, the article reports that this is a private school. This can happen at any school, quite honestly. This is why we have to perform due dilligence as parents to select the best school option for our children. My opinion is that in most cases, public schools just don't fit the bill.

Its a private school!!! May not have been the smartest move, but the public school system had nothing to do with it.

TCU, usually, you are better than this. Did you read beyond the headline? This was not a public school, but a private school:
But that's precisely what some students at the Black Pine Circle School, a private school in Berkeley (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,529099,00.html#), Calif., chose to include in their "Class of 2007" mosaic.
Capitalism, even if it fails, apparently isn't one of those: Tuition (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,529099,00.html#) for a 10-month term costs more than $17,000.

one of the reasons we bought our house where we did was because of the public schools in this area. and i've been amazed at the progress that my daughter has made in first grade (but, to be fair, i'm sure many first graders make good progress). i wouldn't take her out of that school for anything.

Sorry. I was exhausted. A private school? Eighth graders?
Yeah, someone's being a smart aleck. Now that I re-read it, it's kinda funny. I had just finished playing the new America's Army game online for about three hours. I was tired.

I thought private schools were more traditional, but what do you expect? it's in Berkeley; that place is ground zero for radical professors and hippie protests. no surprise all that Marxism has crossed the line into younger minds.

Don't worry... my son is going to a public school here in the Bay Area. He just graduated K level.
And, he's finally learning to spell. I can't wait to get letters from the Left leaning school teachers.
