La Raza demands Obama Cover Illegal Aliens in Health Care

This is an article about La Raza appealing to Obama an Congress to cover all illegal aliens in any health care reform. The word "illegal" seems to have no bearing in this country. It's just a word, and somehow our government thinks enforcing immigration laws is cruel. What a nice, touchy, feely government we have.

The most current census, and the CBO, shows that roughly 7 million of the "46 million" fantasy number of health care uninsured are ILLEGALS.

So, if the hacks get their wish, and steal and print enough money to cover "46 million" people, the illegals will certainly be included in that group.

The PASS ID Act also strips the requirement that states "verify" the identification presented, thereby making it easier for illegal aliens, identity thieves and criminals to fraudulently obtain driver's licenses. Finally, PASS ID also dramatically expands eligibility for persons who may obtain a secure ID. For example, under the bill, an illegal alien need only file an application for asylum and receive temporary work authorization in order to be eligible for a secure ID. (Section 242(c)(2)).

Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano has endorsed the Akaka bill, stating: "Today's introduction of Pass ID… in the U.S. Senate brings us closer to greater compliance with federal standards for secure driver's licenses…. I am committed to supporting this important bill and it is my hope that Congress will pass it into law as quickly as possible."

I read these blurbs very very early this am.
The last item w/ Napolitano and real id made no sense to me what so ever ...I went back to bed ...had coffee, drove the boy to summer school, re-read it and ...I'm still scratching my head.

Can someone please let me know what is trying to be accomplished here? I don't know if it is the lack of sleep or just trying to understand the "thinking" of the left ...but I really don't even come close to getting it.

The thinking behind this is simple. Get the illegal’s citizenship and/or healthcare and/or a driver’s license and you pretty much guarantee a nice large group of devoted democrat voters. It’s far easier to get votes by giving people stuff they don’t deserve.

Can someone please let me know what is trying to be accomplished here? Plus, the last time I looked at my DL it had the State of Washington on it.......why is it so important that there be a Federal standard?
