Yep that's Basterds... with an "e."
Quentin Tarantino's got a new film coming out... looks like it might be good... Brad Pit in the lead role... that's a surprise.
Plot: In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.

Brilliant movie. Twisted, cheesy, silly, violent, and it all worked well.

Brad Pitt is supposed to be a southern man in this movie, right? Is he also supposed to be a Jewish-American?

I thought Brad Pitt was terrible in it. I can't think of a more overrated actor...
Other than that it was pretty damn good.
Christoph Waltz's performance was Oscar worthy.

I agree, Landa character was brilliant, Pitt was awful. I totally got what Tarantino was going for. I thought it missed. While I wouldn't call it a bad movie, It's a definite rental to me. Not enough Basterds, not enough Landa, too much Soshanna. Though the scene with Myers was pretty damn funny too.

I agree the Myers scene was awesome.
