After four weeks of release, I FINALLY saw the new Sam Raimi's horror film Drag Me to Hell over the weekend. This film was worth the wait. I enjoyed watching the movie about a loan manager who was cursed by a Gypsy woman after she turned her down for a loan. I enjoyed the special effects of the film as well as the acting of Alison Lohman as the cursed woman.

There were some suspenseful moments in the film as the woman fights the demon who tried to collect her soul. The film could have added some scarier moments but, overall, I liked this film and glad that I finally gotten to see it.

It's worthy of a matinee fare.

On a scale of one to ten, I give it a seven.

ENJOY!!!!!

Thanks for that! I've seen the ads and wondered if it was any good or if, like so many others, all the good stuff we saw in the commercial. I hate that!

I'll have to check it out. :)

It was a little bit heavy on the jump scares for my tastes, but overall it was very tense and scary, with a good amount of humor tossed in. Definitely worth seeing in theaters if you're a horror fan.

"Drag me to Hell" is a seven?

Oh, dear, you must be a paid movie critic then, lol.

That movie was major disaster. I was actually laughing out loud during most of it; couldnt help it.

I've been meaning to check it out.
Being a fan of the Evil Dead trilogy I was pretty happy to see that Sam Raimi was directing another horror flick although I'm disappointed Bruce Campbell wasn't in it.
Drag Me To Hell has a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That's no small feat for a horror movie so I'll definitely definitely have to see it.

Everyone I know that has seen it said it was a disaster - laughable at times.

I'll pass.

It's definitely laughable at times... that's the intention.
Consider it a horror-comedy.

I just watched it tonight...
****ing Evil Dead 4...
As far as the horror genre goes this movie is easily one of the best to be released in years.
I'm sure like Raimi's Evil Dead it'll take a few years before the brilliance of this film is appreciated.

I never saw any of the Evil Dead films. Was Army of Darkness Evil Dead 3?

A scarier film is that one where the plot deals with a guy who stays out late on Saturday night and then his wife gets him up early the next day. It's called "Drag Me To Church".

Yes.
Evil Dead 2 is my favorite out of the series.
I have to thank you. I wouldn't have gone to watch the movie it you hadn't made this thread.
I had doubts about the movie and had completely forgotten about it until I saw the thread.
