Just seen on FOX NEWS: Authorities in PA are look for 2 or 3 young men who are robbing stores using (their words) UZI automatic weapons and escaping on black BMX bicycles. The suspects are all under 21.

Looking at the photos, the "UZI" sure looked more like a MAC 10 to me.

So these guys are robbing stores with full auto weapons and instead of stealing a get away car they peddle away on their bikes. I mean if you are going to commit multiple felonies what is one more going to hurt? I suspect their criminal careers will be cut short by the police in the very near future.

Hey at least they didn't use the standard "assault rifle" term.

I've been seeing a bunch of those MAC clones showing up all over the place in gun/pawn shops around here lately.

Yeah they got it wrong.

But "Mac 10 Bandit" sounds like a McDonald's happy meal character.

Kids on BMXs with Mac 10s? Not bloody likely. I bet that they are plastic replicas with the yellow muzzle painted black.

But give the press a break... they wouldn't know an Uzi from a Mac 10 if it was shoved up their ... nose. ;)

I speculated about that, most people wouldn't know the difference.

It is a gun it is evil is all a member of the press knows.

Those Airsoft replicas are virtually perfect. If the muzzle was painted black you would not be able to tell the difference from farther than arms length away unless you are looking straight down the muzzle. Even then, the light would have to be good.

Considering the price of a Mac 10 vs the Airsoft replica, I'd say it is highly unlikely these kids have a real firearm.

The pictures show that it does not round enough corners to be a uzi, It is either a Mac-10, a M-11, or an airsoft. The outline of the weapon follows the airsoft exactly, as most owners of the 10 or 11 do not install the wire stock. How do they know it is a submachine gun, if it has not been fired??? Or do they mean it looks like an evil submachine gun.

Ding Ding Ding Wh have a winner.

And how many people have any clue what a Mac 10 is?

Thus UZI it is, everyone knows they are evil.

Well we will know for sure what type of toy or weapon these are after one or more of these garbage pail kids get their tickets to hell punched.

I've seen quite a few kids take airsoft guns and conceal the colored tips.

Not really a smart move as you could easily find yourself trying to dodge real bullets.
