The second season of I Survived A Japanese Game Show premiered, and it was just as good as last season.

I loved this show last year.

Japanese game shows are wild, compared to their Western counterparts. It's a difference between Drew Carey, Pat Sajak, John O'Hurley, and some of these Japanese "game shows".

"Bikini Rodeo Pie Fight". Still haven't seen anything to beat that.

I have still not found anything as funny ever as "human tetris." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ll2kajMH2u0) It was copied on Fox's "The wall," but these gems are priceless.

By the way, the end of this clip (starting 5:40) is the funniest thing on Youtube. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ousfgmMaY6A)

I have still not found anything as funny ever as "Brain Wall." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ll2kajMH2u0) It was copied on Fox's "Hole in the Wall (US)," but these gems are priceless.

That's not a copy, but instead that show has different names in other nations. That format is owned by Fjui Television, which gave us "Iron Chef" and holds all licences for that show. Outside of Japan, "Brain Wall" rights are owned by German television network RTL, which designates the format as "Hole in the Wall."

RTL owns many international game show formats. Current RTL shows on the air Stateside are Mark Burnett's The Apprentice UK (which similarly has a country of origin-international rights difference; the show in the US is owned by Mark Burnett Productions, while international rights are held by RTL; the Beeb's version is produced by RTL/TalkbackThames), The Price Is Right (taping its 38th season of the 1972 revival currently), Family Feud (11th season of 1999 revival taping has begun), America's Got Talent, and Idosl. It's rumoured The X Factor will replace Idol in 2011 when it's permitted. Of those, Idols, Got Talent, and Apprentice are "newer" RTL formats, while Price and Feud are formats acquired when RTL purchased the Goodson-Todman library in 2000 from Pearson plc.
