I am writing an argumentive essay for an ENC 1102 class and chose the topic of Social Darwinism. Arguing that social darwinism is irrelavent in today's times, and that every person in this country is afforded the same opportunities, and every choice made has a consequence, whether good or bad. I need some articles supporting my beliefs..... There is so much information out there that is hard to narrow down to the articles that are relevant. Thanks for any input.

Does your University offer access to online journal databases, such as the MLA International Bibliography or ProQuest? Those are some of your best options for scholarly sources. Psychology journals are often a really unique way to build an argument in an English Composition paper.

Sorry, but nothing immediately comes to mind as far as a specific paper or author. I'm sure that there is plenty of opposition to the social Darwinist theory, though.

Good luck!
