Well, just got finished with another exciting conversation with my Sister, you know the type a Bleeding heart Liberal who hides behind the platitudes of it’s a Woman’s right to choose when it comes to Abortion! When I attempt to engage in any kind of meaningful dialog about this issue all she will do is say “got to go”, “I am not having this conversation with you”!
You would think a PhD would have the ability to debate an issue that has deeply divided America and the political landscape for many years and pin me back with superior knowledge, logic and intelligence! All she will say is, it is a “Woman’s right to choose” and frankly and literally, I agree! However, what I agree with is far different from her perspective. I believe that we are all living sentient beings capable of acting with reason and purpose! We all know that we have the ability to keep ourselves from either impregnating or becoming impregnated by acting in a certain manner. To believe the Abortion proponents we are all just Animals that are incapable of not acting out our Lust and Desires and when we procreate it would not be with any kind of obligation or responsibility to ourselves, our future or our offspring as we are incapable of controlling our carnal lust?
Yes, in fact we all have the right to choose, when we accept that a woman has become pregnant and does not wish to accept the responsibility for this act because it is inconvenient or the child is just not wanted then it just becomes Birth Control and “CHOICE” should have been practiced before the act was committed, not after! The right to choose is and should be prior to the act of procreation, if we are more than just mere animals!
Of course there is always the possibility that they were in fact acting responsibly and the birth control method failed, however does that justify taking of a Human Life even in this circumstance? I have a unique perspective on this issue as I know first hand the damage abortion can do and have lived with the consequence of a lost child, as I did not have the right to object, much less know! I have wondered when a society cannot and will not protect the life of innocent victims and they are swept aside because it is just an inconvenience, as a Nation we have lost our purpose and quite possibly our divine right to exist as given to us by our Creator! Since we are powerless to protect the most innocent of VICTIMS in our society, eventually that may lead to even ourselves!
