Let’s take the political spin out of things and deal strictly with facts.
Fact 1: On his first public announcement after winning the election, the new president-elect of the United States mocked an elderly widow. He made fun of Nancy Reagan conducting séances. His mockery was not a profile in courage. And he was wrong. The closest thing to someone conducting séances in the White House was Hillary Clinton, who held imaginary conversations with Eleanor Roosevelt. Obama’s mockery of an elderly widow was not emotionally warm.
Fact 2: Obama went on the Tonight Show and mocked handicapped children. He claimed that his bowling skills were so poor, it was like the Special Olympics. Again, his mockery was not a profile in courage. And again he was wrong. The kid who won the Special Olympics bowling competition is an accomplished bowler. Obama’s mockery of handicapped children was not emotionally warm.
Fact 3: While Obama’s stimulus bill proposed hundreds of millions of dollars to go to ACORN, which has been investigated for voter fraud, Obama proposed having wounded soldiers pay for their medical care through their private health insurance. Obama proposed this idea as a way of saving tax dollars, but he later retracted it due to public protest.
Amazingly, he still does not understand his cold-heartedness. In his own words, he said: “I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country. I wasn’t asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I’d have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation’s deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans.”
Those are the words of a man who believes ACORN, which was investigated for voter fraud, is more deserving of tax dollars than wounded soldiers. What sort of a person holds such beliefs?
Fact 4: Near the end of May 2009, Obama and his wife jetted to New York for a date night on taxpayer dollars. He and his wife took a small plane, and the White House staff took two other planes. Compare his conduct with his words about the wounded soldiers. Where in his actions is he “proud to sacrifice” for his country? Where “[w]ith the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history” is he doing “the patriot thing” to “help reduce the nation’s deficit”?
Fact 5: Obama has an income from his presidential salary, two books, and a $500,000 advance from Crown Publishers for an abridged version of his book, Dreams from My Father, but he apparently has yet to do a thing for his brother, George Hussein Onyango Obama, who is living in a hut in Kenya on about $20 a year. If Barack Obama sent just $100 to HIS OWN BROTHER, he would increase the man’s standard of living some 500%. A millionaire should be able to afford $100.
No good people whom I know would, in their entire adult lives, mock elderly widows, mock handicapped children, tell wounded soldiers to pay their own medical bills, spend other people’s money on a date night, and fail to send $100 to a family member who is living in squalor. I don’t know anyone who would do even one of those things. Those are cold-hearted, reptilian things. Obama has done ALL those things in the last 8 months.
