Glad to see her knocked down a peg. Her smug speech on the first amendment was horrifying.

That said, she's gotten more out of this than if she had ever won the pageant. Can you name the actual winner? Exactly.

Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton

Regardless if she was stripped of the crown, I still respect Carrie for standing up for what she believes in. She will go on to have a wonderful future and a great career. Plus, she's still attractive. :)

I know Stuball will have a field day with the last statement. :)

Yeah I really respect her for being so straight forward with her answer. Most people here in Cal are so liberal; everybody expects miss Cal to be the same.
I still can't believe how that pageant judge slammed her online, she was so honest and nice about her statement. Very unprofessional of him.

I don't understand why anybody would think that Prez Hilton would show a little class. Look at the work he does. He is a two bit gossipist that loves media attention. He is hardly a spokesperson for the left or for the gay movement, he just has his own site.

That being said; I admire the pluck of Perjean for sticking by her views even though I think she is completely wrong and I think history will vindicate my side of this debate.

Prejean has only herself to blame -- she wasn't showing up at events she was supposed to be at. I think she discovered she could be more of a celebrity by playing off the controversy she stirred at the pageant.

Exactly! Didn't Trump just 'throw' a huge media hype press conference to support Carrie? Now out of no where Carrie is toast due to not showing up at events? Don't buy it at face value....This smells to high heaven folks...

Mr. Trump...go get a hair cut...all that hairspray is killing your ability to think! lol

I didn't hear her "smug speech" on the first amendment. Is it any smugger than this one?
Is it that her free speech rights conflict with your free speech rights and you think that your free speech is less horrifying?

Did anyone watch Carrie Prejean last night on Fox? I think it was either Greta or Geraldo shows last night. Girl is coming out swinging! I say, good for her! No sneaking off to hide under some rock...no not this gal...she's got a point to make and by God she's gonna make it.

The Miss California people have got to be absolutely scrambling at this point. Trying to cover all their bases. I say good luck with that! Public view of the people involved in that whole mess is gonna tarnish the Miss USA/Miss California view. 'Bout time .....:snooty:

Trump, on the other hand, is most likely thinking to himself this morning...'oh..more free publicity for meeeeee! " lol. I swear Trump is the modern version of a 'Gad Fly'.

She kept her crown originally DESPITE not living up to her contract. She was given a second chance. Given that second chance, she STILL didn't live up to her contact---the SAME contract given to all other Miss California USA winners. Plus, from the sound of it, she was really rude to everyone in the organization.

Sorry, but she deserved to be fired.

Ahhh...No. The guy who ran the Miss California Pageant made the claim that Carrie did not carry out her contract due to missing 'publicity dates'. Listening to Carrie's lawyer last night and Carrie herself..that's not entirely accurate. In fact she had and was attending set dates...6 completed with several more already plated.

There were 52 open dates for events that were offered/requested. It's up to Carrie to pick and choose based on her platform which of those dates she wishes to accept. Attending a Gay movie Premier, doing a Playboy spread and other like in kind dates were refused by Carrie for obvious reasons. The guy who runs Miss California used this excuse of 'missing' dates one month after her retention of the crown due to a tell all book that is due out soon. That's the real stickler here..that's what got her yanked from her crown.

One lone little beauty queen with chops...dangerous to those who prey on these girls for a percentage of the money that comes in from these 'dates'. She didn't want the big money for less then tasteful contracted dates like a Playboy spread. No, instead she wanted to open ceremonies for Special Olympics, Visit the ship the Ronald Reagan in re-commemoration of our late President and other actual 'real' dates that didn't produce as much of a financial percentage in this slime balls pocket. Follow the money and you'll soon see exactly what is what and who is who in this story.

Maybe due to Carries diligence, pageants will change how they do business? One can only hope....

Carrie isn't going to give the whole story, obviously. After defending her during the whole nude-photos controversy, I do not think Trump would have allowed her to be fired had she not violated the contract---whether for refusing to do planned appearances, making unsanctioned appearances, or just being a difficult person to deal with, overall. Trump himself said, "To me she was the sweetest thing. Everyone else - she treated like s**t."

But, anyway, I'm glad she had her crown taken away, and I'm sure most people within the Miss California organization are, too. It would be discouraging to have an organization you are so committed to be represented by a woman who so openly holds such bigoted views.

Neither are Miss California board of directors or Trump.

Trump himself said, "To me she was the sweetest thing. Everyone else - she treated like (*snipped* let the word filter do its job.)"

Bold and italics are mine:
So..in your opinion...Trump says it so it must be so? Huh huh..I see.
Carrie refused 'offers' to appear, not 'planned' appearances. She met all her 'planned' appearances...and refused many offers to appear based on personal preference. Geez, get your facts straight will ya?

Do you even understand how the whole 'appearances' thing works for Miss California pageant? It's a business first and foremost...people/organization pay for Carrie to come and appear at their function. The people who run Miss California then receive a percentage of monies brought in by those appearances. Carrie was choosing dates; as is allowed by her contract; that supported her platform. She refused business offers; like a Playboy spread; due to personal preference, which is also allowed in her contract. The whole violation of contract claim is bogus at best...and that assertion is backed by legal pundits and her own lawyer. Trump made a financial choice to go with a gal who will take every offer to come her way vis a vie Miss California pageant. Which means $$$$ money in the pockets of Trump and his wacky org. That's bottom line.

But, anyway, I'm glad she had her crown taken away, and I'm sure most people within the Miss California organization are, too. It would be discouraging to have an organization you are so committed to be represented by a woman who so openly holds such bigoted views.

Bigoted views? That shoe can be worn on both feet in this instance. The question should have never been allowed. If they were to allow the question..then it should have been asked of all contestants to answer it...not just one.

Carrie did her job and met her contract...and will win her law suit against the Miss California organization/pageant. The Miss California pageant never had her back from the moment she answered that dumb question. I think Carrie will be better off not be affiliated with such an organization..and should drag out all the slimy details of how that org internally works so that other would be beauty queens will stay far far away from that specific organization. Perhaps it will change how Miss California and it's subsidiary Miss USA/Miss Universe does business?

This whole mess is gonna haunt Trump for awhile. Bad business decision on his part imo. His org got way more press with Carrie being Miss California then he will get without her. The runner up that they have drugged up is no where near as pretty or has the stage presence that Carrie has...but hey...I bet she does a Playboy spread huh? Bet she goes to Gay movie premiers and does whatever the pageant org and Trump says. Just like a good little doggie should....

Selita Ebanks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selita_Ebanks)
Michael Johnson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Johnson)

Sharon Osbourne and Cyndi Lauper both appeared on the Howard Stern show on Monday, October 19, 2009. They said that they were there to promote a charity, but could not disclose the charity. They said that they and Carol Leifer would be serving a special hamburger called the "Tenacious Hamburger" in New York for $25.00 each with all money going to an undisclosed charity. Sharon said, "It's the men against the women", and Cyndi said "Uh uh!" as if they weren't supposed to talk about it. It looks like the new season may be starting off with a battle of the sexes and the girls will be selling hamburgers for charity at Hamburger Heaven at 62nd and Lexington in Manhattan. Cyndi rambled off a list of all the female celebrities on the team, which matches information released previously. Olympian Micahel Johnson will also be a contestant on the show. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Johnson)

Here is the REAL question, when will Trump give that title back to Prejean?

Anyone? Anyone? Stu? Stu?
