A lot of jokes have been made, both during the campaign and after, calling President Obama a messiah. There have also been non-joking references to President Obama being a messiah, such as a man in Germany that said so during Obama’s European trip in the midst of the presidential race. “I thought it [Obama’s speech] was brilliant. He's my new messiah.” http://www.abc.net.au/lateline/content/2008/s2314907.htm (http://www.abc.net.au/lateline/content/2008/s2314907.htm) Then there was Democratic Tennessee Representative Steve Cohen who compared President Obama to Jesus and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to Pontius Pilate in response to Palin’s remarks about community organizers. “Jesus was a community organizer. Pontius Pilate was a Governor.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmnbTBCktoM (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmnbTBCktoM) Jesus was a community organizer? What Bible has this guy been reading? To the point though, the comparison is blasphemous.

Apparently now even big time American journalists are even exclaiming similar sentiments. Evan Thomas of Newsweek magazine told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews this week, “Well, we were the good guys in 1984. It hasn't felt that way in recent years. We're seen too often as bad guys. And he is very different from Reagan who was all about America, and he talked about it. Obama is… we are above that now. We're not just parochial, we're not just chauvinistic, and we’re not just provincial. We stand for something. I mean, in a way Obama's standing above the country, above the world. He's sort of God. He’s going to bring all different sides together,” to which Matthews agreed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzoAO6d5wy0 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzoAO6d5wy0)

According to this, now President Obama is above America. “We’re beyond that simple-minded blind patriotism Reagan espoused” is what Newsweek’s editor appears to be saying. I have heard of being loyal to a political figure. I have even heard of media bias toward one side or another, but how long is it going to be until we start having Obamaism Churches rising up around the world.

As we can see, these newswriters are trying to usher in the antichrist. People blow this kind of stuff off. They don't realize that these two represent the sentiments of a large population around the world.

I don't understand how some people are comparing Jesus to being a community organizer. I am unaware that the role of a community organizer is to preach the word of God.

I don't think Obama is the Antichrist and I am not sure if these two guys are wanting to help usher in the Antichrist (they probably don't even believe there will be an Antichrist). The unintended consequences of their actions, and the actions of those around the world who blindly follow Obamaism, may help pave the way for the future Antichrist though.

Maybe the "politically correct" (a.k.a. false/watered down) Jesus better resembles a community organizer than the real deal would ever come close to.
