Bill,
Since so few of us (teachers) are conservatives and probably don't visit Hannity's web site, I will say thank you for the whole group. You have a great summer as well.

like a dummy I am doing summer school! but with a house full of kids (my honey watches the kids from next door) being at work is better than being at home!

Ditto. It is y'all teachers who are on the front-lines and in the trenches.

And if you teach in North Carolina, hopefully you'll still have a job to come back to this autumn.

North Carolina governor Bev Perdue (D) is firing thousands of teachers but is not firing any of the legions of superintendents, assistant superintendents, assistants to the deputy superintendents, principals, assistant principals, assistants to the assistant principals, counselors, assistant counselors, administrative supervisors, assistants to administrative supervisors, deputy assistants to administrative supervisors, mental health counselors.

Not only is the governor not laying off management personnel, but she is hiring even more supervisors, superintendents and administrative people. Who are all the administrators going to administer to? Themselves?

She campaigned on a pledge to support teachers. The vote was close. It was teachers who caused her to win. Now she's firing them and looting lottery money to hire more administrators.

Shortly, the state is going to have more administrative workers than students.

Thanks. I have one day to go. I will enjoy being home with my kiddos and traveling to D.C. with my family.

I have a couple weeks of training to do and some things to work on for my classes next year, but I will pace myself and have some fun.

I always find it takes about two weeks of resting and getting caught up on personal projects before you feel like a normal human being again. By about mid July I finally start to feel like I'm on vacation.

I agree. It does wear you out.
