I just tuned it in and man so far it is a scare monger show! Doom and gloom.

Comments on the show?

I have just started watching it, not much on that I can watch tonight in the truck. :boohoo::D

Yes, I'm watching it.

I always find these sort of propagandist shows interesting. I always find it funny how they come up with these magical dates for the "Point of No Return." In this case, it's 2015.

I also wasn't aware that category five hurricanes only strike land due to global warming. Camile struck the Gulf Coast in the 60s, a very cool decade temperature-wise...

I love all these drought predictions and our sureness of what the climate will be like in 35+ years. I guess ABC still wants to use the IPCC predictions to help fear-monger, even when the IPCC projections have been grossly off thus far...

I am watching.

Pure load of scaremongering BS.

But it is worth the laugh.

When I was in college in the early 90s, one of our classes played this documentary with the same premise (though not as slick as this one) where the climate change because of global warming was going to be a new ice age. Why? The warming waters will stop the gulf flow from the North Atlantic to the South Atlantic.

Just goes to show that if every conceivable outcome can be attributed to your theory, your theory has some serious flaws.

^ Haha. Nice.

"Just goes to show that if every conceivable outcome can be attributed to your theory, your theory has some serious flaws."

I like that.

If you want to see photos of a real city in ruins because of a failed belief system, you can see photos of the ruins of Detroit:

I had the same thought. Scary!:D

Sadly I missed out on the rest of the show, the signal wasn't good and with digital signal hanging and the audio garbled I quit watching TV. I am not a fan of the new digital airwaves!

Well, it was entertaining and quite amusing, even though it was clearly stretching the truth. It was more of an editorial than a factual article and it's probably the biggest broadcast television global warming fearmongering propagandist show I've seen to date.

I have had to explain to my kids (who see it all the time now) that watching these shows they start saying "it appears that this happens...", "this scientist believes...", then later, "many scientists agree...", then sometimes they skip the "consensus" and go straight to talking about how things are as though proven fact. The whole presentation often hinges on some pretty shakey premises.

Back in the summer of 1988, the Kansas City Star (my local paper) ran a front page story announcing the global warming reality.

By the way, 1988 was a drought year across the midwestern U.S.

Even then, people were trying to capitalize on current events to try to justify this theory and claim the role of lead clerisy in the government.

This theory has been around a long time, and like most apocalyptic cults, they have had to continually revise the end-all date to keep themselves out of obsolescence.

ABC presented it as a Documentary Drama... i.e. as factual based fiction. They intended for everyone to believe it.

I watched a little bit of it, but had to change to something less aggravating when I found myself shouting "****heads!" at the TV every few seconds. ;)

Mark Levin talked about that in his new book... he was so right at how the left will make up reason to strip liberty from people.
