Anyone planning to watch Conan O'Brien's debut as the new Tonight Show host?

I just won't be the same without Jay.

Nope. I have never liked Conan. He's on my list of annoying, overly-hyper "comedians" like Ben Stiller and Jim Carey.

It wasn't even called "The Tonight Show" when Steve Allen was the host, and he only did the show for 3 years. Paar did it for 5 but Carson did it for 30. Carson WAS The Tonight Show.

Anyway, I still can't help but think that moving Leno to 10:00 pm every night is going to go down as one of the biggest mistakes in TV history. What is NBC thinking?

I like Conan the best of any of the late-night hosts. I think the show will be better and I may actually watch it once in a while...

I have never really watched Conan more than a few times. Way past my bedtime. He has to be better than Letterman, though.:sick:

My understanding was that Leno was planning to simply retire and NBC offered him the 10:00 gig.

I liked Jonny. I wasn't crazy about Leno or Letterman, but I like Conan even less. I haven't watched one of those shows in 15 or so years. I watch House or something else I have taped IF I am still up and able to watch anything at that hour.

Carson was the absolute master. I love watching his old clips on YouTube.

When I was growing up, my grandparents would always watch TTS and I remember thinking that it was so sophisticated. They also had pre-buttered bread at every meal and the salads had croutons.

I'm a big fan of nerdy, twitchy personalities on TV. So heck yeah, I watched it.

I'll miss the edgier stuff they'll have to retire from Late Night, but I'll be watching.

I liked the opening where Conan ran from New York to Los Angeles. I'm glad that Andy Richter is back working with Conan.

I'll stick with Leno. I liked the trip from NYC but the show went lame after that. I always think Leno's material, (as goofy as some of it is) is a little more intelligent.
