View Full Version : Conspiracy To Raise The Price of Gas

Anyone else catch this story on the rising price of gas? This is a question we have all been talking about at work lately.
Oil Is Plentiful, Demand Weak. Why Are Gas Prices Going Up?
Storage tankers across the globe may be brimming with oil that no one is buying because of the global economic downturn, but the traditional laws of supply and demand don't always apply to oil prices. Drivers have faced rising prices at the gas pump in recent months, as investors and oil-producing countries hoard supplies in anticipation of a global economic recovery later this year.
This really chaps my ass. American's cannot win for losing. We are the biggest suckers on the planet, and we just keep taking it "where the sun don't shine." I suspect we have simply not killed enough arabs or hanged enough "speculators," yet.
The old justifications for keeping prices high are not good enough, so now they've simply changed the rules. And where is our messianic leader on all this? This is a story that has been completely ignored by the communist that lives in the White House (it is still white, isn't it?).
The rest of the story is here:

Yeah, I don't know what changed, the economy certainly isn't getting any better. Any increase we do see in stocks, the speculators will squelch with high oil prices. It is a scam and I wouldn't be surprised if the WH is helping it along.

Love the logic that killing Arabs to get the oil that RIGHTFULLY belongs to them is the right thing to do. It's like saying if your neighbor has a lawnmower and you don't (even though you need one to cut your grass) it's your right to go over and shoot him and take it.
I guess if you wanted to buy a house you should be allowed to force or intimidate someone into selling it to you, even if they don't want to.

Gas is going up for the same reason it went up last time to a large degree, the USD is weakening, inflation is kicking in and threads on drill, drill, drill will be reappearing in next week or two, bookmark it.

The Saudi's have too much control over our economy, bred the terrorists that attacked us on 9-11 and continue to export their fundamentalist hatred on the world. They are the ones that truly deserved to bombed for the last eight years, so yeah, we not only haven't killed enough arabs, we've been killing the wrong arabs.

It's probably the dumb reformulations again like it was last year.
http://www.epa.gov/otaq/rfg/faq.htm
New gas reformulations take effect every year from June 1 to September 15th each year, what the EPA calls the "high ozone season".
Not surprisingly, this is also the "high gas prices season".
Because some states allow MTBE, and other states ban it, and the EPA requires "oxygenated RFG" in "non-attainment areas" the nation is a ridiculous patchwork quilt of all different kinds of gasolines and the hapless suppliers have to redo their supply lines, at great expense, to comply with the Air Nazis.
If the EPA would just leave well enough alone (or better yet, be abolished) and not artificially manipulate the market for no good reason in their fight against ozone the prices would be fine.

Actually the United States has caused it's own dependance on oil, which allows others to have "control" over our economy. So, you know we did that to ourselves.
They are the ones that truly deserved to bombed for the last eight years, so yeah, we not only haven't killed enough arabs, we've been killing the wrong arabs.
Well if that is really how you feel, why don't you take the task of doing it.
