Tonight will be Jay Leno's final night as host of The Tonight Show. Conan O'Brien will be his final guest before he takes over the hosting position.

It's not going to be the same without Jay. I'm looking forward to his show next fall at 10:00.

When Jay comes back in the fall, my plan is to just DVR his show at 10:00, and watch it at 11:30 like I always have. (usually just the first half hour)

I can't stand Conan... it gives me the creeps to just look at him and I do not find him the least bit funny. The Tonight Show will have to do without me... I'm sure they will do just fine. ;)

I look forward to seeing what Jay has up his sleeve for next fall.

I hope that Conan will still have Triumph the Insult Comic Dog on The Tonight Show.

I like Jay, but I predict the 10:00 show will be a flop.

It hasn't been the same since Johnny Carson left. The Tonight Show just ain't what it used to be.

I was real young when Carson was the host...My dad had bought a series of Carson's Greatest Moments, which I watched when I was older and able to get the humor...He was the best...Leno is good, I've enjoyed him, especially with the alternative being Letterman.

Conan won't bring anything to the show...personally I don't see how his other show has lasted for so many years, it's just not funny.

Conan won't bring anything to the show

But he will cost less, a lot less, which is what this is really all about.

I agree I remember his last show .I liked Leno as a Stand Up but found him annoying and bland as a host.I wonder what he plans to do with Stuttering John

Agreed. Follow-ups to great, long-running performances seem to fail as a rule. Here's hoping for the best.

I enjoyed watching his final show, especially when he introduced the children of The Tonight Show staff. I'm going to miss him hosting.

I wonder how Conan will do the show Monday.

Leno went out on a high note.

Unlike Letterman, Jay always seemed to be a class act.

The tonight show has a rich history. I liked them all but I don't watch anymore. I kicked the TV habit about 3 years ago. Sorry for those who are going through withdrawal over the loss of Leno.

I loved the final "jaywalking" segment last night!! The questions he used to ask were so danged obvious to anyone who kept up with anything. It amazed me how stupid people can be.

Jay Leno has been pretty Damn GOOD... for sure (although I wish he had gotten Sarah Palin on his show rather than just make jokes about her... He had the rest of them on during the campaign; and he really ****ed me off when he had Katie Couric on there to talk (ridicule) about Palin.) and while he was no Johnny Carson or Jack Parr (actually Parr was so low key as to be boring...) what was best about him was that he was no David Letterman.

I cannot figure who is worse... Letterman or Conan... I may just have to watch Red Eye.

I would rather watch reruns of rosanne then any of those you listed. Gonna miss Jay.

Yeah... it got better when Carson took over. Steve Allen hosted the original for 3 years, then Paar did the show for 5 years. Johnny Carson hosted it for 30 years, so The Tonight Show IS Carson. When he retired, the show should have retired with him.
