HONOBIA — Researchers believe that a footprint they discovered over the weekend in the Kiamichi Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma is that of the elusive creature Bigfoot.

D.W. Lee, global director of the Mid-America Bigfoot Research Center, said the print was discovered about five miles into the woods.

They were able to make a cast of the print, which measured 15¾ inches long and 5 inches wide.

“The toes were clearly visible on the cast after it was lifted up,” Lee said.

In addition to tracks, Lee said they heard “vocalizations” in the woods that they recognize as the tell-tale mocking calls of Bigfoot.

Whoop sounds, “attempted imitations” of whip-poor-wills, and mimicking of dove and owl calls were heard, he said.

One crew member was hit by a rock during a night hike just moments after two large animals were spied through a night scope walking on two feet across a logging road.

“A lot of people, it doesn’t really dawn on them when rocks land near them,” that Bigfoot could be responsible, Lee said.

What perfect timing.

I don't know which is more unbelievable, the Bigfoot evidence or the existence of mountains in Oklahoma. Who knew?

They were out of plaster so they fed a kitty spoilt kibble then squeezed it back into the depression.

That is some ugly casting material...

Heck, it was just Blake Griffin stomping around barefooted.

In the multiverse, sometimes when two "bang" together, slippage of flora, fauna or creature occurs.

But not in this case.

Why is there always only one footprint?

When's the last time you came across a single deer hoofprint or dog pawprint?

Maybe he is unilegged?

After all they call him Bigfoot not Bigfeet?

It is odd.

Actually I have run across individual prints that were made by quadrupeds who happened to place one foot in a soft spot that the other feet missed.

That's why they call him/her "Big Foot".

He/she only has one foot. Otherwise, he/she would be called Big Feet.

And you know what happens when you have one foot. You crawl around alot and only stand up in mud sticky enough for you to extend your upper body to wave at the moon men who left strange footprints there.

Big Feet! Didn't see your post, lol. My thoughts exactly.

Where is the hand print? Or when he/she sits down, the booty print? Big Booty. Has a better ring.

I don't know which is more unbelievable, the Bigfoot evidence or the existence of mountains in Oklahoma. Who knew? When Bigfoot writes his autobiography, he will no doubt detail his travels through space, his many loves, and his gambling addiction, but his trek through Oklahoma is surely just make-believe.

If there was/is a Bigfoot, then I see no reason that Oklahoma would not be a feasible destination.

-24% of it is forest
-4 mountain ranges
-worlds tallest hill (one foot short of being a mountain)
-50 state parks
-5th in cattle production (I think they said he eats cows?)
-Their Oktoberfest rocks

I do not see why anyone would not want to at least visit and see for themselves once in their life. And as much as Bigfoot gets around the globe..why not Oklahoma?

Good tourism slogan for them.... "why not Oklahoma?"

Well if you read the crypto websites, Bigfoot is pretty much everywhere. My favorite episode of MonsterQuest dealing with wolfmen stated that it probably wasn't a lycanthrope these people were seeing, but rather a misidentified bigfoot - HA.

Thirty years ago one could probably make the argument that there could be something like a bigfoot living in the remote areas, but in this day when more and more people spend time in the environment, everyone pretty much has a digital camera with them 24/7, thousands of hunters using trail cameras, GPS, inexpensive night vision gear, and readily available thermal imaging, it's getting harder and harder to say that something could be out there hiding.

Ah, he should have come over to the Wichita Mountains. He would be so at home here. Wonder if he likes to eat buffalo and longhorn? Buffalo is 99% fat free.

And, Oklahoma is the only state in the US that has a mountain range that runs east to west. I'm really going to miss Oklahoma when we move.

Yes, I've been to Alaska and seen "real" American mountains. Regardless, the Kiamichis, which I've also seen, are foothills compared to the Uintas.

I caught the very end of movie a couple of years ago about a bunch of teenagers who get lost in the mountains (I think in California) and are set upon by a Sasquatch. At teh end after the sherrif's deputies rescue them, the deputies are surrounded by a bunch of Sasquatches. I really don't want to find bigfoot, even if he is just a mechanical creation of a bunch of aliens.
