My neighbor and good friend sells it, she does pretty well. I know that Juice Plus has a ton of research and recommendations from famous universities and doctors, including America's most famous pediatrician, Dr. William Sears.
I bought the gummies for my 3 year old son. I asked my dr. and my son's pediatrician, both of whom shrugged their shoulders and said, "well, it certainly won't hurt," but neither of those two were convinced.
So, what say you? Anyone else tried it? Good results or no difference?

It's best to just eat more fruits and veggies. Lord knows I need to as well.
Other than that, it looks like just another MLM to me.

I'd probably come down on the side of your pediatrician - it won't kill ya, but as Hoobeedoo said, just eat more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Personally, I have yet to find anyone that says a supplement is better than the real thing - in fact there are many that say it's not.

My mother once sold Juice Plus. My oldest daughter took the gummies when she was younger. She liked them and she never was sick. Now she takes Barley Max and fresh carrot/apple juice. My understanding is that they are different from other chewables becauce there is no sugar and they have live enzymes in them, like the raw fruits and veggies have. They are a lot less processed than Flinstone chewables, a lot more natural. It is very hard to get anyone, let alone children, to eat all the fruits and veggies we need everyday.

We are having a tough time getting our 2 year old to eat anything but!
She would eat only fruits and veggies if we let her. Now, our boys are a different story.

I don't know. I do know that William Sears has a lot of opinions and not all of them are well founded by medical science. I don't think you get the same nutrients from drinking a glass of juice as you do from eating the fruit from which the juice came. Just as I don't believe the Jack Lalane juicer ads that claim that you can get the same nutrition from a glass of apple, prune, beet, celery juice as you can from eating apples, prunes, beets and celery. With that said, I tried the juicer and my kids wouldn't touch the "earth" colored concoction that it produced. I stick with cut up fruit and veggies now.

I should add that my 3 yr. old son eats very healthy as it is, I just figured it couldn't hurt to add a supplement and help support my friend's business venture. The presentations that she does are pretty a good sell on how it's just about impossible to eat all of the fruits and veggies we should eat every day. But, my kid already does pretty much eat only fruits & veggies, chicken and steak every now and then, pasta once in a while, but I think he's had maybe 2 cookies and one piece of cake in his entire 3 years....!

IF it is fresh juice, yes then you get the same nutrients. If it is pasturized, then no you don't. Same with fruits and veggies. Once they are cooked you lose some of the nutrients. Cooked is better than nothing, but raw is much better than cooked.

What's wrong if she only wants to eat fruits and vegetables? And why not let her?

Where is the country of origin for the ingredients in "Juice Plus"?

And all things being equal, steamed is better than boiled, and stove top is WAY better than microwave.

I've found that if you soak broccoli in bourbon for a few hours, it's downright edible.:))
I should write a diet book!

You are correct, and raw is better than all the above. That is why juicing is wonderful. You can get the nutrients that you need in a couple of cups instead of a couple of pounds of raw fruits and veggies. The Juice Plus vitamins have the living enzymes in them that raw fruits and veggies have. They have not been killed due to cooking or processing. Most vitamins that are out on the market, especially kids vitamins, are artificial and processed with a lot of additives, including sugar.

I should write a diet book! I wonder if the bourbon picks up any nutrition from the broccoli.

So broccoli should be lightly steamed until it turns a bright green color.
