A Memorial Day Tribute Thread.

On this Memorial Day, I invite you to raise your glass, say a little prayer and remember those that willingly gave their lives in service to all of us that enjoy living in the Greatest Country in the World. This is just a small token of my appreciation. A video I made a couple of years ago, but demonstrates my continued gratitude.

If you have a person you'd like to say a few words about, feel free to share their story with us. I encourage you to do so.

Logline: A Navy Veteran and an Army Veteran compete in a game of one-upmanship over a flagpole in a retirement community.

Synopsis: A Navy Veteran's daily routine of putting up the flag in a retirement community is interrupted when an Army Veteran moves in across the courtyard. They begin a war of one-upmanship as they fight to beat each other to the flag each morning.

Anecdotal Account: Adam and Donovan's grandfather died this year. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII and they wanted to shoot a short film to honor his memory. The film became a tribute to all Veterans including the two actors in the film who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

I remember the ones who stood brave and tall.
The ones who are willing to give their all.
The ones who fight so we can be free.
The ones who take the place of you and me.
The ones who are proud of our flag.
They do what they do and never brag.
They leave their children and their husbands and wives.
To fight for us, to risk their lives.
May they always be blessed in all they do.
Standing in the gap for me and you.
I love our flag.
Long may she wave.
Over the land
of the free and the brave!
