Has there been any information about what the Chrysler dealerships that are being forced to close have in common?
I have heard that there was no criteria for choosing which ones to close. Even succesful dealerships were told they were losing their franchises.

I also heard that the cars they couldn't sell, the dealers had to keep.

"HEY! You know these cars you can't sell that you got from us? They're yours!"

It had to do with proximity to other locations. In certain areas, there are too many too close together.

For some reason, a guy named "Tarbox" (last name), was targeted. He is the ONLY dealer in RI who was picked to close.

Twelve dealers in ALL of Massachusetts were closed. Guess who was among them...

"Tarbox".

He must be on someone's naughty list...

That makes sense except that some of the reports that I heard were that there was no criteria for which ones close.

For example, I heard an interview of one dealer who had a succesful dealership was being forced to close but some others in his "area" who were not succesful were going to stay open. I heard another story from a succesful dealer that he was to close and GIVE his inventory to a less succesful dealer who was staying open.

Doesn't make sense.
