Vandals who egged a Colfax car dealership early Wednesday morning left a note at the scene decrying “the ignorant use of fossil fuels” – a note written on the back of a Winco receipt for 5 dozen eggs.
Whitman County Sheriff’s investigators visited the grocery store and reviewed video footage of the egg purchase, which enabled them to identify four suspects.
I blame the parents, lol

They deserve a double douse of blame, one for not raising better behaved kids and another for raising stupid ones.

"The four, who all are 20 and 21 years old"
I assume these four have never applied for a driver's license.
If I were the judge ...I'd suspend their licenses for 5 years.

Whitman county is rural. Colfax is a farming town. Its unlikely the culprits walked. They probably drove to the store, then drove to the dealership. Who is guilty of "the ignorant use of fossil fuels?"
While the article "punnily" notes officers spent most of the day trying to crack the case, they didn't eggsactly have much else to do.

Hey. Billy! Did you snag me a tonic while you were at the store?
Oh, hello, officer!
