My fellow countrymen.

In 1776, our founding fathers brought forth a nation out of the ashes of tyranny and provided us a nation with freedom and liberty. A nation where people had the reigns of power and the government was but a servant for the people. It was out of this system that the greatest nation ever to take form in the history of mankind came into being.

As great as this system is, it passes and fails with the people of this nation. That is its one weakness. The founding fathers put the ability to shape this nation in the hands of the people. This power comes with huge responsibility for the people of this nation.

It is the natural propensity of government to grow and take more power and has been such since the beginning of civilized society. Governments that are too powerful and too big have a natural tendency to become tyrannical towards its population. Our founding fathers knew of this natural tendency and gave the power to the people and provided a system where the people were the natural checks and balances to the government.

We are charged by our founding fathers to properly and responsibly use this power to elect people who represent the values and freedoms that our founding fathers put into place. If we fail in this responsibility, then our freedoms and rights will diminish and eventually fade away.

We fail in this responsibility when we do not elect candidates who hold the values and freedoms of our founding fathers. We fail in this responsibility when we cannot see past slogans and catch phrases that candidates for office use to get our votes. We fail in this responsibility when we do not research and properly vet the candidate in our own mechanism for analysis. We fail in this responsibility when we let the media shape our analysis of political candidates.

The fact we have in today’s society is that there are politicians who do not share the values and freedoms of the founding fathers of our great nation. They are self indulged, self motivated, and have nothing but corruption and a desire for power. These people exist on both sides of the aisle. The founding fathers also knew of these kinds of people and provided the people as the safeguard for keeping them out of office.

It is only through lies and deception and the failure of the people to properly use their power that corrupt politicians can get in office and stay in office. This is the exploitation of the one main weakness in the system that our founding fathers gave to us back when our nation was founded.

In 2008, the people elected a President who is the prime example of a corrupt politician who lied and deceived the people to get elected to the highest office in our nation. It is also a prime example of the people’s failure to use their power responsibly. As I stated above, if the people had used their power as the founding fathers intended, this man would never have been elected as it was evident he was a corrupt politician.

Sadly, our current President is not alone in his contempt for the values and freedoms of our founding fathers. This contempt exists in various members of both major parties and will only continue as long as the people elect and re-elect these individuals.

Never before since the creation of our nation have we been at the verge of the collapse of our system of government and economy that the founding fathers established than now. Our founding fathers never envisioned a day when the government would be taking over private industries, forming citizen armies, allowing an invasion from another country, fermenting relationships with our enemies, and selling out their country to the highest bidder.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this madness must stop now before our nation collapses into history in the likes that occurred with the Roman Empire back in its day. To think that we are special and that it will not happen to us is a gross ignorance of fact.

We are at a juncture in our nation’s history where we will either collapse into the heavy, iron fist of communism or head down the road back to the government of our founding fathers; a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. The decision lies with every one of you; the people.

You need to ask yourself these questions. Do you want to wake up one day and realize you no longer have the right to free speech? To have an opinion of your own free from reprisal? The right to freely assemble in places such as churches, activities, political gatherings? The right to petition your government for the reprieve of grievances?

This is not a right vs. left or conservative vs. liberal issue we are discussing today. These rights should be of dire concern to all Americans because it is all Americans who will lose these rights should this nation continue down its current path that this President is taking us.

The current President can tell you all the catch phrases and “phoney bologna” as my grandmother would put it he wishes to fool you with but the truth is like I said before, he is relying on the people failing in their responsibilities to be re-elected. I beg each person to dig deeper than the catch phrases and bumper stickers and look into your heart to discover what the true values of America are and realize that we do not need to go where this man wants to take us.

We can restore this government back to the people but only when we can remove the people who do not have that goal and put in people that do have that goal. We can do this if the people would rise up and take their responsibility with the power of voting seriously and guard this nation feverishly from those who wish to do it harm.

We can do this if the people would unite as Americans and realize that we are in this nation together. We do not rise and fall as conservatives or liberals. We rise or fall as Americans.
