Most Americans and a majority of people in Britain, France and South Korea say torturing terrorism suspects is justified at least in rare instances, according to AP-Ipsos polling.

Just a loud minority like Obermann and his ilk care more about terrorist rights than the lives of innocent citizens..

Yup, but that was before the bowing one came and told us what we really should think about it.

They did not ask the right ones. There could be a nuke in San Francisco and the terrorist who placed it in custody and they would still oppose torturing him to find it. They would rather die in a nuclear explosion or its after than waterboard someone who placed a nuke.

I don't believe it's the "torture" that's the problem. I believe it's because Booooosh did it.

If the bowing one authorizes it's use it would be heralded as the greatest saving event to human lives in American history.

So edumacate us on how torturing terrorist suspects to get them to admit to a nonexistent link between Saddam Hussein and OBL saves American lives . . .

Trust the conniebots, when one of their own does something unpardonable, to rush to justify the unpardonable . . .

Lately I have been hearing that torture does not work. How ridiculous is that? Of course torture works. Torture has worked and has been used by many people for several thousand years.

The reason to not use it is because it is barbaric. The down side to it is if the person(s) you are torturing does not have the info you seek, you get lies and it becomes counter productive.

BTW, many people have different definitions of torture it seems. I do not think our version of water boarding or any dumb type of naked pyramid is torture.
