You will be missed. My baby passed away this morning after 14 years of being my best buddy and life saver on two occasions.

So sorry! I know how it feels to lose a loved one, even those that have 4 legs, I think of my animals as a part of my family.

Even though I am very much of a cat man, I am so sorry to hear about you losing your dog! As JohnRocks said, animals can be just as much a part of the family as an actual blood relative!

I don't know why, but I haven't cried since he passed. I teared up last night when I was holding our other dog Westin, but that's it. Maybe it's because I'm so sleep deprived and have been running myself to exhaustion. I dunno... Guess it hasn't set in that he's really and truly gone.

What a beautiful, gorgeous dog, he reminds me of my son dog I had to put down a few years ago. Maybe there are no tears because you knew you did the very best for him and he lived a long life and hopefully his passing was peaceful. He stuck with his mommy as long as he could I'm sure.

We were going to have a vet come over yesterday to put him to sleep at 1500 so I was crying my eyes out cuz I knew my parents would be at work and I was going to hold my best friend while he died. He was a very considerate dog and I think he spared me from that by just going on his own free will. My poor baby :((

What a sweet boy...I tell you, they would do anything for their moms. I love him just looking at him. Fourteen is very old for a big boy like that, you should be very proud that he did so well under your care. He had good genetics just looking at him, but there are so many things that can go wrong, especially in the hips. They have the biggest hearts and spirits, they'd live a lot longer otherwise. I'm sure he was very proud to be his mom's boy. Rest in peace Mikey. Was it Roy Rogers who said "if dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go." There can't be heaven without our precious pups.

My condolences to you on the loss of Mikey. I have no words of understanding for this for I've never had a pet; probably because I've seen the heartbreak that is endured when one loses a creature that they deeply love.

I'll keep you in my prayers to the 'Big Guy' as you mourn this loss.

Be as well as you can be Lady,

Jim

Got a call from grandma's neighbor yesterday. Gramma passed on too. I'm going up there to take care of things in a bit... Not looking forward to going through her trailer trying to find addresses to contact family that we haven't talked to in years.

My condolences about your Grandmother also. Mom or Dad's Mother?
